Rather than take a day tour you can visit the islands by boat on your own for 50kn return giving you the flexibility to do one a day and return in your own time

“Elaphiti Island Tour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

We decided to do this tour after visiting the office on Cavtat . I think they were called the Adriana Tours. We were told that we would have 1 hour on the two smaller islands and 2 hours on Lopud. This turned out to be 1/2 hr on the two smaller islands and 2 1/2 hrs on Lopud. !/2hr is only long enough to get off boat and walk to toilets then back on again. The 'lunch' was aweful and if you chose a meat option consisted of 2 pieces of tough chicken and some sort of coleslaw. I am sure that there are better boat trips where you get some sort of commentary but this is not the case on this tour and basically consists of 3 11/2 hrs on the islands and 5hrs travelling. The leaflet said the boat capacity was for 54 passengers when in fact there were considerably more than that. Definitely not worth the 250 kuna per person

“Check weather, don't miss the boat”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

The only way to see the three islands in a day is to go on an organised trip. We went with Adriatic Explorer which cost 290 kuna(about £33) and included lunch.

First island was Kolocep where we were given 11/4 hours free time. Unfortunately it was raining heavy and two boat loads were huddled in the only two restaurants there were. From what we saw the island looked picturesque.

Next was Sipan where we had lunch. Choice of chicken, fish or cheese salad with wine, was quite good. However this meant we had only 40 minutes to look around, not as picturesque as Kolocep.

Lopud was last and definitely the best, waterfront lined with bars, restaurants and shops. Look for cake shop near large Lifodia hotel, lovely cakes and ice cream.

No guide on this trip, you are told by the boat crew when the boat will leave each place. On our experience it' s best to get back early. At Sipan the boat was leaving 5 minutes early and we had to shout and tell the crew there were two girls missing! No check was made by the crew at any of the islands.

A good way to relax away from Dubrovnik but might be best to check weather forecast as there is not much to do other than walking or sunbathing.

“The three Islands tour was excellent value.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

The tour was good. We wished that the operators we went with had provided some more detailed information on the Islands [ LEA Tours].We found the swimming on each of the Island good, the lunch we felt was excellent [ Ihad fish and my husband had chicken but we did notice that the vegetarian option was not as good]. All the cold drinks were included including wine and one could buy hot drinks on the Islands.
Iwould recommend that anyone thinking of taking the tour looks at the stadard of boat the operator offers before booking. It may be that had we been with another operator we would have gleaned more information on each of the Islands but this is a trip worth taking.

“Beautiful”

Beautiful islands, quaint towns, much unspoiled landscape, and magnificent blue and green water. Could not be more special!
Highly recommend a visit here.
