A small but interesting city, we loved the narrow streets and the churches. There was nothing we didnt like within the city.

it was great. We had two cruises in town on one of the days so it was a bit crowded. But the other days were amazing. great food, awesome shops and even better ice cream!

Beautiful area of Dubrovnik, words do not do it justice. From the minute you enter Pile Gate and into the Stradun and work your way all around town it is a beautiful enchanting place.

I can imagine during the height of summer that this area will be absolutely packed so visiting in October was a bonus in that you could move freely around and not have to dodge the crowds too much.

Enjoyed our day out to Dubrovnik, lovely old town with lovely old churches/cathedrals. Other things to see include a Franciscan Monastery near the Pile gate entrance which was rebuilt in 1667 after the Great Earthquake, opposite is the Onophrian Fountian and the Rectors Palace down the street and to the right are all worth visiting.

We loved the old town and visited most days for our evening meal. Try to avoid peak cruise ship times, as horribly busy and so touristy. Shops don't really sell anything nice, just tourist tat, but the architecture is stunning. We excaped the crowds by exploring the back streets, where the locals live and it was lovely to see little slice of their everyday life. Restaurants off the main drag are much cheaper!
