“Amazing island if you wanna be close to the nature”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2014

we rent bikes and it is a good choice. on the way to the national park it is hard as there is big up and downs, but in the park it is perfect with bike as it is almost flat. park is big and you will get too tired if you just walk around.

the water is clear and suitable for swim.

Very relaxing place if you just wanna to be close to the nature and escape from daily busy life.

“If you do one thing in Croatia...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2014

Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Of everything I did in and around Dubrovnik, this is the one attraction I would 100% return to without blinking! There is so much to do here, cycle hire, boat trips, relaxing in the lakes.

“An island paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2014

I echo the sentiments expressed by other reviewers; a beautiful island which is well worth a visit. However, as a result of others comments regarding accessibility, we decided to book a day trip with Adriatic Explore at their office just inside Pile Gate in the Old Town. We travelled by mini bus to the Peljesac peninsular where we caught the car ferry to the island, drove across the island and arrived in the middle of the park to catch the boat to St.Mary's Island. We walked round the lake and had lunch during our free time.

A bonus was a short stop at Ston, the home of the famous oysters on the way to the island.

Our guide and driver were a delight and added to a very enjoyable day.

“Mljet National Park - OMG - amazing place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014

I strongly recommend visiting Mljet National Park. We did cycle there which is perfect and not many cars around. We stayed in Polace and I must say we liked it more than Pomena because there were less tourists and much more friendly. It is worth swimming in both lakes because the water was so warm, stunning views and really nice beaches with steady entry side. Good place for hiking. Entry fee to the National Park are 90 Kuna per person. You pay it once only but can visit any time and over next few days.

“Nice place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014 via mobile

It's no doubt that it is a pretty place to visit. With lakes which you can swim there (I did), nicely made path to walk, quiet and peaceful.

However, in terms of money, I think it's not worth.

1. Return ferry ticket is 140 Kuna
2. Entrance fee 100 Kuna.

I would not spend 240 Kuna to visit here. ( if money is not your concern, why not go there in order to escape the crowd in the old city?!)
