This hotel was on a lovely part of the town with lovely views. The staff is all wonderful and helpful. The rooms are perfect and we truly enjoyed the breakfast. Pricier than most of the other properties but well worth it. The bus stop at the front of the hotel is convenient in getting around and recommended. The hotel will sell you tickets. It's got a beautiful pool and beach location. I want to go back!

I just came back from an excellent week at here. Our party ranged from age 10 years to nearly 80 and everyone came back well rested, happy and keen to return.

Positives of this hotel include;

Outstanding service delivered by all members of staff from housekeeping to managers. Attentive but non intrusive and always incredibly polite. As examples one waiter who worked on the evening buffet even lent me his insect repellent when he overheard me complaining that I was getting bitten. Furthermore, when it came to leaving the manager personally escorted the child in our party across the traffic to our taxi which was also a courteous touch.

Great location with fantastic views and plenty of big yachts sailing past

Good mix of items at breakfast (really recommend the figs and Palma ham)

Good mix of people and ages. This hotel is also family friendly.

Bus down into Dubrovnik (15 mins) with cheaper tickets available from reception than if bought on the bus

Dive school on site which does diving for children and a wide range of abilities

Shop in the hotel which sells a range of pool and beachy items

Open water swimming and opportunities to snorkel a stone throws away from the poolside

Walking distance to a super market/pharmacy/seaside shops which also sell lots of beachy things (more cheaply)

Very comfy beds and great bedsheets

Great pool overlooking the Adriatic coast but you need to get up early to get prime location sun bed

Great indoor pool on the top floor also over looking the Adriatic cost

Also on the top floor there's a sauna and steam room (beware of naked people).

A small, basic gym which does the job.

Negatives of this hotel include;

Reception ran out of the cheaper bus tickets twice during our stay. Not really a big deal but they are slightly more expensive on the bus

The near pool side restaurant is over priced for what it is. However, the portion sizes are huge so you could share items. Alternatively head to the supermarket where's there's plenty of tasty local produce. Furthermore I think it would be an improvement to be able to order snacks to your sun bed as opposed to having to eat in a more formal manner.

The evening buffet is a great option if you don't fancy the trip into town but it does lack atmosphere

Potentially the food items at breakfast would prove a little monotonous after a week

Although the owner of the dive school has a slick business with some fantastic instructors working for him; he himself came across as clinical and rude. This was in direct contrast to both his team and also the hotel's staff. This gentleman could not even manage a smile when we gave him money for four open water dives and three discover scuba diving dives. This was in direct contrast to my experience anywhere else in the hotel and not in keeping with the 5 star service this establishment offers. This particular experience deterred me and my boyfriend from booking more fun dives during my stay. Furthermore it stopped me giving this review 5 stars.

Overall;

Although a have pointed out some small negatives I thought this place was fantastic and would gladly come again. Furthermore, the Croatian president was there during our stay so it can't be all that bad!
