We recently stayed in a junior suit. great room with conventient layout and nice balcony vew of sea. The staff are very good which made life easy, and easy to get into the old town. Would strongly recommend.

We spent seven nights at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace. It was a very nice hotel, the rooms were very spacious and modern. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area is split into a few sections which gives the feeling that the area is not too crowded. There was not the usual issue that is often found at other hotels in getting a lounger by the pool or surrounding area during the day. There was many activities available during the day at the hotel such as scuba diving, boat trips and a Segway tour round the surrounding area. The hotel is a short walk from the beach area and plenty of restaurants. The dining at the hotel was good at the snack area next to the pool but the dinner time buffet style was not up to much. The choices were very similar each night. During the evening at the hotel there is very little to do. There is a bar at reception and a cocktail bar by the pool which is open to 1am but it was always very quiet due to people venturing out in the evening.
All in all, a very nice stay though and I would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: If booking a sea view room ensure it is level 3 or above due to some trees blocking the view lower d...

Three night stay in one of their smaller rooms but still very good.
Breakfast was more than adequate..restaurant very good.

Bar by the pool was great for cocktails!

Convenient bus (No 4) from the hotel to the gates of the Old Town (kn 15)

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the end of the corridors as they are smaller and the corridors are quite long! Also...

My wife and I stayed at The Palace for 5 days. We had high expectations and they were all largely met. Starting from the bell-boy and front desk, the service was friendly and helpful. Checking in and all interactions we dealt with professionally. The room was a double superior - not spectacularly spacious but just fine. Balcony, well equipped bathroom and a spectacular view. If possible, attempt to get a room from a higher floor than us (2nd) even though lower floors also have probably an unobstructed view of the sea. The pool area was terraced on several levels. There are lots of sunbeds and towels at the pool. There is also a guest room on the first floor if you need to change before your room is available or after check-out. There is no beach, but a decent access to the sea from the pool area. Breakfast was spectacular and in good weather, you can sit at the terrace which has a stunning view. Access to the old town is very convenient - a direct bus line runs every 15 minutes from just outside of the hotel and takes 10 minutes to town. The reception sells tickets, but you can also buy them from the bus. There are many amenities and booking tours and rental cars etc. is possible as well. The rental cars pick-up and drop-off is at the hotel. Absolutely no complaints, everything was perfect.

Room Tip: Ask for an unobstructed view of the sea. There are some pine trees between the hotel and the sea, yo...

Just came back from a vacation in Dalmatia. We stayed there for 4 nights and had a very pleasant time. We were kindly upgraded to a junior suite on the fourth floor upon arrival but opted for a standard room on the 6th floor instead as the views were better. The room was nicely decorated, the view spectacular and the breakfast pretty good. Staff was very friendly. All in all a great hotel, were you can truly relax, just 15 mins from the old town. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it was almost impossible to find a spot at the pool as the hotel was fully booked. Also, the beach is not really a beach just rocks from which you can jump off in the sea (of course it turns out Croatia does not really have beaches just nice waters). Not the best 5 star I have stayed at (around this rate) but still nice.

After a stay at a rather ghastly hotel in Hvar, this was just what we needed: quiet, understated luxury with excellent service. Rooms are recently refurbished and are elegant and restful, with lots of natural wood and featured the comfiest bed I have ever had in a hotel. Bathrooms are fitted to a very high standard too. Service super-fast and friendly - after a late night child nosebleed we needed to ask for a bed to be changed around 11pm and two members of housekeeping were immediately with us and couldnt have been nicer and made us feel it wasnt a bother at all - much appreciated!

Excellent hotel buffet breakfast - and delighted things were being topped up right until the moment breakfast closed - and we were offered more coffee even after that time. Dinner buffet was fine but not exceptional but the whole family were happy with it. We had a lovely dinner at the Taverna restaurant down by the sea, and a great burgers one lunch time in the snack bar by the beach.

The pool is great and contrary to previous reports, we were always able to find a lounger even though we were there at a very busy time in mid-August. We enjoyed the swim up bar and the good value cocktail of the day became a feature of our stay!

No hesitation in recommending this hotel: it's really well-situated for a 15 minute bus ride into the wonderful city of Dubrovnik and we were grateful we were the first stop as it meant we got a seat and gets everything right, and the views are simply stunning. I could happily have sat on my balcony staring at the sea and the rocks, islands and lighthouses all day!

Room Tip: The higher numbered floors have the best views of the sea.

I recently stayed at the hotel for two weeks with my husband. We both felt relaxed from the moment we got picked up at the airport using one of the hotel cars- the relaxation lasted the duration of our stay!!

The rooms are modern and clean, with brilliant views of the Adriatic Sea. Breakfast was lovely, with a good choice of hot and cold foods. Service was excellent.

Pool area is relaxing with great views. The bar staff work incredibly hard. Only negative would be that the swimming pool itself looked a little dirty in places. Beware of the parasols which seem to have a life of their own in strong wind!

The bus outside the hotel takes you straight into the old town and offers a reliable service. The bus gets very busy in the evenings going from the old town to the hotel- no queuing system is used!

We enjoyed two superb meals in the downstairs restaurant and loved the sax player and jazz singer!

I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to one day returning to beautiful Croatia.
