You can find hotels with nicer rooms, but the pool and beach area is fantastic. There were multiple swimming pools and places to lay out. Like much of the area, the beach is large rocks leading right into the sea. Maybe not a kid-friendly beach, but good for people like me who hate walking on pebbles. The room was slightly cramped but it had a medium sized balcony that looked directly onto the water. Nice spa area with a friendly staff.

The only thing lacking was the food. The breakfast buffet was huge, but nothing that tasty and the coffee was terrible. The food at the restaurants was overpriced and not good at all. The bars and cocktails, however, were great.

Dubrovnik Palace Hotel is well located, about 10 mins from the Old Town by Taxi and also a comfortable ride on Public Bus.
The rooms are reasonable size but fabulous sea views from the balcony, nice swimming pool and area where one can jump off and swim in the sea.
The fitness room and Spa area are also reasonable, the breakfast is also a good spread.
The staff is excellent and helpful. All good with this hotel except that the room furniture and appliances have to be upgraded.

Room Tip: Sea View is a must, overall, the rooms are well located.

We visited this Hotel last week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were one or two minor irritations but all in all, a great hotel. All the Rooms have a sea view ...correct, but some have more of a sea view than others. We were in Room 544 which is at a corner of the hotel (I assume 644, 444 etc are similar). The food is very good with good variety and the staff or all very friendly. The Hotel is sited a fair distance from the old town but there is a bus service which stops right outside the hotel. The pool is well sited but the age old problem of unoccupied sunbeds with towels draped over them is a major annoyance. Will somebody somewhere do something about these selfish morons who have no consideration for anybody but themselves. Needless to say this selfishness is not just restricted to this hotel or even this country. Time to rise up and strike back !!

Room Tip: The lower the floor the further you are from the Night Club which is already reasonably quiet. Don't take a room that ends in *44 as your view will be restricted.

We enjoyed this hotel even thought is had more of the character of a business hotel, because the view was extra-ordinary. But others in our group had view issues because, remarkably, even though all of the rooms face the ocean, it seems a lot of the views are blocked by trees. The pool is very nicely done and a great place for a glass of wine or a cocktail even if you don't want to swim.

Room Tip: Beware of the fact there are a number of trees on the hotel property that are growing in front of and blocking views that would otherwise be magnificent.

The hotel is situated far away from the tourist attractions and the crowds. If you are without car, you must use taxis, otherwise the bust stops (ends) right at the hotel. The rooms are designed very small for a 5 star category hotel, the bathrooms are even smaller. There is only one "luggage rack" built right into the closet that was not big enough anyway. If you have two big suitcases on the floor (closed), you can hardly manoeuver between the edge of the bed and the wall. Pretty tight in here! That floor space was allocated to a mini terrace with two seats and an awning. Unfortunately, one cannot keep his luggage out on the balcony. The pillows are rather hard and uncomfortable (artificial filling). The metallic silver (!) TV has a flat screen but is so tiny (to fit the room) I had to sit at the edge of the bed to watch it even though there was not much to watch in English.
Buffet breakfast is very good, great choice of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit and pastries. Polite, friendly, professional service.
There is a nice open swimming pool with ice cold water in it. Too bad the BBQ and the bar were still closed. The tiny man made beach is a walking distance from the pool The Adriatic Sea was still too cold in June. Talking ice cold, the inside pool on the roof was not any warmer either. Luckily, one can always soak in the warm Jacuzzi/hot tubs.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a sea view. Reverse floor order: You go from the entrance or RC (reception floor) DOWN to your floor (confusing at first, but you'll get used).
