The Palace is built into the side of the mountain, so each room has a lovely view of the Adriatic. The outdoor pools! Pick one! Totally lovely setting with sparkling infinity pool (s), and sea pool. Buffet breakfast extraordinary, to match the service. Dinner also quite good with several unusual choices - meat or squid grilled in front of you. My few disappointments were the transportation issue to the old town and convenience of in-house "necessity" shopping. Although rated a 5-star hotel, I would expect a free shuttle service and a small store located in the hotel that could provide items such as toothpaste. A pleasant surprise was turn-down service with chocolates. (Perhaps a little notice of this service would have been appreciated.) Old town of Dubrovnik is not as picturesque as others AND the cruise ships have found it - big time. Stay relaxed in this lovely hotel during the sunshine hours and away from the hordes pouring off the cruise ships.

The rooms are very spacious with great views. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Excellent breakfast with large selection buffet
The best thing was to stay in the crafted rock areas then jump into the marvelous sea.

It is very easy to arrive at old city as the bus stop is just outside the hotel.

I recommend it! A relaxing stay!

Room Tip: It seems that all rooms have great views of the sea.

A great hotel in a great location, out of the hustle and bustle of the old town but 15 minutes away on the no.4 bus which starts and stops from the hotel.
The staff were all polite and welcoming, the facilities superb.
The down side-- lack of atmosphere and food prices that would scare the richest of people.
Overall we had a great week, would we go back - No.

Room Tip: High up to avoid the trees otherwise you could loose a fantastic view.

We arrived for our stay after an early flight. Check in time at the hotel was later in the day, when we arrived at the hotel early we were dealt with politely, efficiently and quickly by friendly staff. We were then told our two rooms were upgraded to junior suites which was a great bonus and also that our rooms were ready we were highly delighted. Our rooms were on the seventh floor and had a wonderful view. The rooms were spacious and spotless. We used the indoor pool facilities and the sauna and steam room which were all wonderful. The hotel grounds and everything in the hotel was outstanding, not a spec of dust and everything gleaming. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone comIng to dubrovnik and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and found every member of staff helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Try a get a room on a higher level, views amazing.

Nice hotel with large selection buffets for both breakfast and dinner of both cold and hot choices that are pretty good compared to most hotels. Rooms are smallish and at 3 meters wide a bit narrow but comfortable beds, standard bathroom, etc. Wifi in the rooms is good reception and free. All rooms face the sea right below and have small balconies with chairs and small table to sit outside and watch the sun go down. Swimming pools on both the lower first floor (outdoor) and one on the terrace (T on the elevator floor selection panel) that is indoor with two large hot tubs. Indoor pool not noted well to guests as only "swimming pool" sign goes to the first floor outdoor one but Terrace doesn't mention its indoor pool very well. No. 4 bus goes from hotel to Pile Gate of the Old City area in about 15 min. and runs by every 20 min. so a comfortable, non-confusing way to get back and forth. Turnaround point is the Pile Gate and Palace Hotel so can't really get lost. Buy 12 HRK tickets in advance at the hotel Reception area as it is cheaper than getting them on the bus and saves time. Need one ticket for each direction and stamp them on entering the bus with the reverse or blank white side of the ticket UP - not with printed side up (which might otherwise seem logical).
