Very tired Hotel with stained carpets, tired decorations and furniture. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean though. Breakfast is just ok and taken across the road in an annexe. The private beach is a few minutes walk away, but just a sea of concrete. Plus side is the local bus goes from outside the hotel, number 4 and this takes you to the old town of Dubrovnik. Beware though the Hotel is used for school, college and childrens groups, this led to a night without sleep as drunk teenagers thought it was funny to bang on our 1st floor bedroom window constantly. The shower was broken but the management fixed it after a couple of reminders. Wifi only works in the foyer and bar downstairs. there is limited parking across the street but no private car park.

Room Tip: Beware no lift and lots of stairs!

Dear Madam / Sir,
Thank you for your review about our hotel; we are glad that you were satisfied with hotel cleanliness and restaurant service. Younger guests usually come to our hotel in preseason and in generally, they bland in nicely with other hotel guests. Once again, thank you.

If a brilliant location, helpful staff, an immaculately clean room with comfortable bed and stunning balcony views, are what you're looking for on a budget then the Adriatic could be for you. However, you will need to be able to look past the faded and stained carpets and upholstery in the public areas and the poor breakfast which is taken across the road. The hotel has no lift and doesn't provide hair dryers. That said, you get what you pay for and if you can live without luxury for a few days you'll find that the positives outweigh the negatives.

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are of higher standard than those without. Those without are away from traffic...

I stayed at this hotel at the end of April. It was clean and the staff were very friendly, but don't expect 5* accommodation - you get exactly what you pay for. It's in a fantastic location, close to a supermarket & restaurants, a short walk to the beach & a 15 minute bus ride to Dubrovnik old town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is just using it as a base to explore.

Room Tip: I paid a bit extra to have a balcony view. I'd definitely recommend this

Stayed here as part of a GroupOn voucher deal so presumably this is a cheap hotel.

Was alarmed to find it rated 67th out of 71 hotels in Dubrovnik on tripadvisor but it turned out to be perfectly adequate as a low-budget ** hotel.

The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The buffet breakfast is a pale imitation of the real thing, it's true, but what it most lacks is a decent cup of coffee.

Stayed 4 nights here . The location of the hotel is wonderful. The room was basic but had a lovely view across the sea. Local bus stops right outside hotel door and drops you by the The Old Town. Food is average and all of the staff were pleasant except receptionist who made no effort to be friendly. All in all I can recommend this hotel mainly because excellent value for money ratio.

We got a deal through Wowcher and only paid £222 each - I had already read the reviews here so really lowered my expectations and I think that really helped when we arrived at the hotel. I wasnt expecting much (just a room with bed and linen) and so wasnt disappointed at all. We paid for what we got. I think this is a good deal for those on a budget and as we wanted a base to explore the area as its really the easyjet of hotels.
we got a garden view which is the backyard/footpath - so i think you have to be really careful about leaving the windows open as they are so big that anyone can literally climb into your room!

Also- i had emailed the hotel before the visit to ask for directions from the airport and no one got back to me so it was a sign of things to come.
BTW- you get the number 4 bus from old town and it stops right outside the hotel, just ask the bus driver to give you a shout when you get there.

Reception - Edin was at the desk and he was really friendly and funny, joking and apologised for lack of lifts and offered to help us with the luggage if we needed (we were on the third floor).
When we got into the room - we find the room was already occupied, by two big spiders dangling from the ceiling with their cobwebs....... we left them to it.

Breakfast - bread, bread and more bread! I am not a big eater first thing but there wasnt much choice. They sometimes put these croatia biscuits out which is worth trying as they are traditional /typical croatian food (if you get them in shops they usually sell them in a big bag so its a good sampler selection). I found them a bit dry and crumbly (they dont seem to use much egg/butter).

Breskvice - Croatian "Peaches"
Madjarica – Croatian Layer Cake
jam biscuits

staff - the housekeeping/waiters are quite friendly and greeted us in their local lang even though they dont speak English.
We also met another reception staff -Josip- who doesnt even look up when you talk to him and talk to you in monosyllables, it was like pulling teeth!

an example of a conversation (with him looking down the whole time)
us- what is the weather like today
him- changeable! (from what to what???)

Bus tickets - get them from the reception as they are the same price everywhere (get the day ticket if you are making more than 2 journeys in 1 day as its only 30K).

exchange rate - I shopped around a bit and got the best deal from the Splitska banka which is the only bank near the restaurant/beach area. Just be aware that some banks will not change your money without seeing your passport.

Beauty treatments - we had booked some beauty treatment in the sister hotel (hotel Uvula) and its so much cheaper.
we got a body scrub, mud wrap and massage (1.5 hours) for approx 460K- she basically give us three treatments for the price of two.

Excursions - boat trips may be worth booking nearer the time you want to go as sometimes they are reduced by the end of the day to drum up interest ie Mostar and Montenegro.
