This was a beautiful place to stay. Only 10 minutes from the old Dubrovnik city gates, it's perfectly located as it's a little away from the noise of the very busy old town, plus you get a lovely view of the city walls and the sea. Our arrival was a little interesting as it is actually located at 33 Frana Supila, not 27, which is a private residence. I'm surprised now that the owner of no. 27 had not heard of Villa Allure, because I thought at the time I had the address wrong in my notes but it is wrong here on Trip Advisor too, as it is at the Villa Allure website, so others must have gone there mistakenly also. She very kindly offered to let us leave our bags at her place while we hunted the actual place down, finding it just up the street at 33, directly opposite the Excelsior. Even then you need go searching right around past the pool to the back of the building to check in. A sign would be helpful. But we made it in the end and were very impressed with our room, which had a great four-poster bed, very ritzy bathroom and a view of Dubrovnik to die for. At one point we asked the manager for a couple of champagne glasses, and she very kindly brought us some nuts and pretzels as well to go along with them. Villa Allure helped make our stay in Dubrovnik absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended, but go to no. 33!More
