Azur is a lovely restaurant tucked away in a back street of Dubrovnik – a real gem. Firstly, don’t get it confused with the Azur restaurant in one of the big hotels further out of town – we nearly did and we would have missed a treat by doing so

The food is very unique – Croatian with an oriental influence and it works really well. This is fusion for the sake of flavour, not fusion for the sake of novelty. The staff are excellent (way above normal levels of friendliness and attentiveness we found locally) and the food is very good and really reasonably priced. It is just round the corner from the Buda bar (well worth a look, outside the city walls on the rocks) so combining the two worked very well

We found this place so much better than most of our Dubrovnik dining experiences (which were mainly pretty good) and would thoroughly recommend booking a table and giving it a go!

Great find to escape the bustle and the boring chips , pasta places. Tucked away so peaceful. Warm and friendly welcome. Menu is limited (no veggie option) but they adapted a noodle dish for me which was delicious. food tasted very fresh. Waiters very knowledgeable and chatty. Baklava was best I have ever tasted - had apple in it - incredible. highly recommend you take the time to seek it out.

It's a little difficult to find but well worth the effort. People will tell you it is "right behind the cathedral" but it's helpful to know that you need to follow the alley to the left of the Terrace restaurant.

At present, all the tables are outdoor on the street in the alley. So, NO indoor seating at Azur. In nice weather it's fine but I bet that with their initial success they will find indoor seating and expand to include more tables.

The menu is limited --- 4 or 5 entrees ---but the execution is excellent. After more a week in Croatia it was a pleasure to find a high quality alternative to the ubiquitous grilled fish or pizza.

Loved the rare tuna, chicken and Vietnamese rice noodles and the stir fry shrimp entrees. They also serve a wonderful local white wine.

The place has a great "feel" with cool jazz playing in the background. It looks like it is run by a few young guys who seem to do the serving and the cooking.

So, fair warning: the menu is limited and you may not find something you like (consider checking out the menu in advance). And be prepared to sit outside in an alley.

A good option if you want a change from the run-of-the-mill pizzerias which seem to be around every corner in the Old Town. Portions were ok, but not large. If you are looking for quality over quantity this restaurant is worth trying.

We happened upon this little restaurant just around the corner from our accommodation, and we are so glad we did! Friendly waiters looked after us exceptionally during our dinner. The food was excellent from start to finish and was a really welcome change from the usual fare that appears on most menus around the old town. We treated ourselves to 3 courses each and along with a bottle of wine and coffee the bill only came to about €55, exceptional value we thought compared to back home. The prawns with chili and basil were delish, and himself thoroughly enjoyed meatballs in coconut curry. Do not be deceived by the portion sizes, they may appear a bit small, but we were stuffed leaving Azur, and had wonderful night there!
