A surprise from my partner, we took a short break here. The rooms are in a large, characterful flat in the heart of Dubrovnik old town. Extremely hospitable hosts gave advice and generous breakfasts - maybe you'll get Sanja's extra special french toast :) Our room looked out onto a bustling square - we would sit back and enjoy the wheeling swifts at sunset, just out-voicing the hubbub of diners.
Note that if you need to sleep with the window open, there will be some noise from the square, gentle chat until late and market setup and cleaning in the morning. With windows closed this noise is almost completely blocked - you may then need the very quiet air-conditioning in warmer months.
We didn't have a lot of experience with Croatian accomodation. This B&B seemed quite pricey but it was worth it for a treat. As Sanja said, a lot of tourists don't quite understand breakfast in Croatia so it's nice to be looked after.
