Beautiful little pebble beach (bits of sand). Cristal clear water, easy to get there, but must go down a lot of stairs to get there.

Great beach! Never felt overcrowded and music wasn't too loud at all. There's a bar and a great restaurant. Chairs and umbrellas are reasonably priced (50 KN each). To top it all off you have a great view of old town. Just sucks that it's a 25 min walk, especially in the heat. A taxi only cost us around 50-60 kona for a one way trip from old town (and there's good parking for cars). Worth the extra distance though!

This beach is reached by walking down 162 steps so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or very young children.
The beach itself is lovely and quiet with great views of Dubrovnick old town and Islands but you do need to have swim shoes as very rocky going in to the sea.
There are two beach bars with one that sells food and we had a lovely lunch there, although when it got very busy the staff seemed to have a few issues with the orders and some tables didn't get their food at all but if you go in early enough then it should be fine.
There is an derelict hotel round the corner from the beach bar which can be reached via steps. It was once a 6 star hotel but was bombed during the conflict, you do have to be careful where you walk but interesting to see.
We enjoyed our day there but didn't relish the walk back up the 162 stairs, the beach could do with a taxi boat service to Dubrovnick harbour as there are several in the area with one that leaves from the resort next to Jakovs Beach.

Nice beach outside of the city center. Beautiful view of the bay walking down the stairs. You can rent sunbeds for a reasonable price, and if your pocket is full of cash, you can rent a jet ski for 600 kn per 30 minutes. Expensive! We had lunch at the restaurant. The food was ok but they were way understaffed and overworked. We waited more than 1 hour for grilled shrimps in a half full restaurant.

One of the less crowded beaches in Dubrovnik accessed literally at the end of the street and the inevitable Dubrovnik steps, well worth the effort. Water crystal clear perfect for that relaxing dip. Remember to bring water shoes to avoid that awkward tip toe ee dance over the stones to get into the water. Super yacht anchored off shore belonging to some guy who owns Chelsea Football Club. Clearly I am in wealthy company.
