After booking this accomodation on booking.com were were not given the address of the accomodation other than the street name.
The building had no signage on it.
After walking the length of the street 4 times we got fed up and went to a local restaurant to try and contact the owners.
We eventually did manage to find the owners after 2 hours.
The building was in the middle of a renovation that were not made aware of.
The room we were given was finished, however it was on the third floor of the 700 year old building and at the top of a 65 step staircase, the last 25 of which were dangerous.
To make matters worse, one of the hand rails was loose.
The only furniture in the room other than the bed was a tiny table and 2 dining chairs.
The TV in the room was not connected to an aerial and didn't work.
The hot water service was not big enough for even 1 person to shower.
The toilet was under a slanted roof which meant that I couldn't even stand up straight when using it... and I'm only 5'8".
The price paid was extortionate given the quality of the accomodation, I paid less for 4 star accomodation in the rest of Europe.
There was a bar/nightclub across the road with patrons reveling until the early hours of the morning, 7 days a week.
In short, when in Dubrovnik, don't pre book, negotiate with the locals when you arrive.
