This is a wonderful hotel in a fairly quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the old city. The hotel looks out onto the harbour and is about 3km from the old city - it's easy to get a bus from down the road, and they run until late at night. We also found it nice to walk into Lapad and spend the evening at one of the many bars with swing seats for two people, which were lovely.
The hotel has a good size pool, and we didn't have any trouble finding a space, as long as we got there by about nine. The room was very well-appointed and decorated, although a little cosy!
The food is simple, without a lot of variation - it might be tough for vegetarians as there didn't seem to be many options. The restaurant staff were particularly helpful and were very sweet to my husband when he went down for dinner without me as I was feeling ill.
Dubrovnik is absolutely beautiful and this is a great base from which to explore it. We are thinking about returning later this yearMore
