Maybe because I was very tired, but this was one of the best sleeps I had this summer. The beds are typical bunk beds, but everything was clean and the matresses comfortable and firm. Clean bathrooms! We had a nice terrace in our dorm (which had 4 beds) from where you could see all Dubrovnik and a port. It was something like 20 minutes walk to the old center and Stradun but situated in nice neighbourhood. Breakfast could have been better!

This hostel is certainly not one of those places that is so nice you can't even believe it's a hostel or you can tell from specific touches that the owners were backpackers themselves. This genuinely just is your average bed, shower and toilet type of facilities.

I found it difficult to locate as it's quite easy to walk by. Once you're on the right street, you need to look out for the hosteling international sign that points up some narrow concrete stairs. Luckily, it is marked, as either 'youth hostel' or 'omladinski hostel', on most maps of dubrovnik and the locals should be able to point you in the right direction if you're confused!

It is an easy walk, overlooking the sea, to the old town (although I caught the bus when I was first arriving with my bags). It's also not far from the harbour (gruz) either.

I will say, however, there are no lockers in the dorms and the key system was a bit strange (only one key that you leave at reception when the room is empty) and it seemed to mean that the room was often left unlocked.

There were also no sanitary bins in the female bathroom and the showers could do with an extra hook for hanging clothed etc.
Overall, it's pretty average. There are definitely better hostels out there, but there are also far worse as well!

Brillaint location totally central! Can hear the kusic playing on the street from the hotel bedrooms which is romantic!! Quite expenseive for what it is but the beauty and charm of the hostel makes it worth it. Not luxurious at all but that just adds to the character!! Defo stay there if you go to Dubrovnik! Location is perfect!!!

I stayed at this hostel as part of a Contiki tour in July. The location of the hostel was pretty good, easy walking distance to town and beaches...and that's where the positive comments stop.
The rooms were cramped - 2 bunk beds in a room left no room for anything else. The matresses were thin and old and the beds themselves did not feel structurally safe! Luckily for myself and my room mates, we actually had a small courtyard outside our room, however it was used mainly to store our luggage as there was no space inside the room itself. It was also the hottest place I have ever been...we had to leave the door / windows open at night for air, but when the sun came up at 6am we were wide awake as it was streaming in and made the room so hot. A few people on our tour actually slept in the hallways of the hostel, just to get some breathing space.
Breakfast was below average. Cereal, warm milk, bread and fruit which looked old and wasnt fresh.
The staff were ok, not overly helpful but not exactly rude either. One computer for internet access which meant we had to line up for use.
The hostel is also located on top of a hill in a residential area...the stairs to get to the hostel are steep and there are plenty of them...so it was great fun carting our 20kg suitcases up them in 36 degree heat after being on a bus for 9 hours.
Shared bathrooms on a few floors. Bring your thongs for the showers!
Not the best place, if I ever went back to Dubrovnik I would be happy to pay a substantial amount for the main hotel (the Hilton) purely because of my experience in this hostel!

This place could have been a good hostel, but right now it is not.
No air condition in the rooms/dorms makes them super hot and smelly.
No lockers so you have carry the things you don't want to leave on the bed.
Breakfast is between 8-9 and is plain boring.
No WiFi and one old computer for all to use.
Kitchen is crap.
15 min walk to old town and 10 min walk to a small pebble beach.
Bars and a small supermarket is near.
