“Great Job, Ivo”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

We recently visited Dubrovnik as a port of call on a cruise; we booked a one and half hour walking tour of the city via Dubrovnik Tours on the internet and Stejpan confirmed our arrangements. Everything went exactly as planned per our confirmation, except that Stejpan was not available and his associate, Ivo, toured with us. Ivo was absolutely marvelous, he met us at the specified time and place and was pleasant and a wealth of knowlege; his tour brought Dubrovnik to life for the four of us. Ivo was kind enough to customize the tour for us: my partner and I had visited Dubrovnik previously so Ivo added some extra sights to our touring while our friends were first time visitors so he made sure to cover all of the basic sights, really a great job. In addition, the four of us are interested in jewish history so Ivo included a stop in the old jewish street of the town with a visit to the restored synagogue (with an outstanding narration that impressed us!). What a great day. After the tour, we were set to finish exploring the town on our own using Ivo's suggestions.

Ivo and Stejpan are young, talented and fun tour guides that made our stay in Dubrovnik memorable - and, their rates are so reasonable, especailly when compared to the prices charged by the cruise lines. And, you have the benefit of a small group (we were 4 compared to groups of 20 to 30 that we saw touring while in town) and the ability to customize your tour to your interests. When in Dubrovnik, a private walking tour is a must do. We very highly recommed this Ivo and company!

“Incredibly Informative”
Reviewed May 21, 2013

My husband and I organized a walking tour of the Old City of Dubrovnik through Dubrovnik Day Tours. We were promptly met and a guided by Ivo, an incredibly passionate Dubrovnik native. We spent nearly two hours walking the streets of the Old City and were educated about the city's incredible history and current issues. Ivo's first hand knowledge of the War of Independence and its impact on the locals is unmatched by any guidebook. We really appreciated how his tour had a real locals feel to it given the city is filled with tourists. We would strongly recommend a tour with Ivo and his team.

“One of the best we had all year in Europe!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

There is so much to learn about Dubrovnik and Croatia that you really need a guide when you travel there. Ivo and Stejon (spelling?) were 2 incredible guides and what really impressed my wife and I the most about them was they told us everything we wanted to know without us having to ask too many questions and when we did have questions, they had answers! We went through the Old Town and learned all about the history of Dubrovnik, the war and the old town itself. Ivo took us to the top of the mountain where you have an incredible view of the city (definitely a must). The next day we took a day tour to Montenegro where we saw 2 incredible small towns of Perast and Kotor. What an incredible experience to be able to knock out 2 countries in the same weekend, and learn so much about the culture of the slavic people. Incredible tour, great guides and outstanding memories! Highly recommend.

“Jewel!”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Museum under open sky. The days we spent in Dubrovniik late October/12 were so beautiful, with splendid blue sky, like a conspiracy. Dubrovnik is worth a visit not only for its beauty including walled old city, narrow streets, small shops and pleasant restaurants, but also because of it's history itself, not to mention the Croatian part of the Adriatic. Want to go back there a hundred time.

“Montenegro and Ston/Peljesac tour”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Booked two private tours with one of the founders - Ivo - who offered not only local knowledge about Croatia and Montenegro, but also his honest opinions about Croatian culture. Ivo speaks English fluently and wants to share information about his country, so it was easy to learn a lot about how "regular" Croatians live. He was very friendly, punctual, and attentive to what we wanted to see and learn about. Would definitely recommend him to others seeking a personalized tour. Montenegro is highly recommended, even if spending just 3 days in Dubrovnik, as the country is absolutely beautiful. Think Ston is worthwhile if spending more than 3 days in Dubrovnik (the town itself is very small).
