“Nothing impressive”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

This used to be a grain storage place now turn into a museum of everyday lives of Croatian . Inside there are farming and fishing tools ( nothing special ) various clothings and a few pieces of jewellery. It is actually quite boring and you definitely could see all these farming or fishing equipment in farms or shipping villages.

If you have lots of time to kill and love going to all types of museum regardless, then it is for you.

Very nice collection of day to day life in Croatia with lof of took+ls and garment typical for the area. The old grain store as a museum is fascinating

“Dubrovnik highlight - often overlooked”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

This small museum is hardly mentioned in English-language tourist guide books, yet it holds a wonderful collection that helped us deepen our understanding of local culture and traditions.
We enjoyed displays of ornate traditional Easter eggs, embroidery, textiles and various tools. We also learned of cultural context, in which local modern crafts fit, e.g. it was quite interesting to see the way in which traditional South-Croatian silver filigree buttons were used in folk costumes.
Overall – this was one of the highlights of our trip to Dubrovnik.

“A find for folk fashionistas and fisherfolk.”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

This gem of a small museum has a great collection of embroidered clothing from the area's many towns. There are also tons of artifacts from area's industries, namely fishing and assorted agricultural activities such as beekeeping. The house is lovely too. There is a room dedicated to St. Blaise, the town's patron saint that is keeping with the nation's narrative of a strong, dominant identity as Christian.

“Interesting grain storage”
Reviewed June 2, 2012 via mobile

This building held 1200 tons of wheat, not corn, to last the residents five months if need be. Wheat from the Mediterranean would their way to Dubrovnik for the residents.
