We first arrived at hotel Adria feeling very excited! The check in was quick and easy, parking was plenty & the hotel looked modern with an impressive view.

The hotel was very busy and it only has 1 lift. The hotel was clean but needed a little work (our lock was broken & the door didn’t shut properly to our room!).

There is a mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing room, water pressure is great and water is hot. Air con and heating were good although the walls were so thin and we could hear everything so didn’t sleep very well at all. We were on floor -6.

It has a fantastic infinity pool overlooking the harbour which looked beautiful. We didn’t get chance to use the hotel much as we decided to explore but based on the above we felt the hotel was slightly overpriced and lacked some attention to detail.

Our party of 10 stayed at Hotel Adria for 7 nights. No complaints. We were in Dubrovnik for a wedding and this hotel was a great base with fantastic views. The Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was good in the well run restaurant and the two guys serving at the hotel bar very efficient. The hotel in general was very clean as were the rooms. Thanks to all at Hotel Adria for making our stay a comfortable one.o

Room tip: Request a room with sea view. Fantastic morning and night.

We stayed B&B for one night as we were getting the ferry to sipan the following morning. Hotel is high up overlooking the port and is a taxi drive into the port ( 5 mins ) hotel is quite we’ll appointed and is kept very clean. Rooms very good too. Indoor and outdoor pools are great but the views are spoilt by what looks like council housing in tall blocks of flats which are an eyesore. Breakfast is poor even though others rated it. Eggs ok but bacon very poor quality. No cut up fruit to go with yogurt just whole apples, bananas and oranges and other strange options like cucumber, broad beans, broccoli, carrots, rice and chips. What’s all that about !!! Very small bar seating area but staff were pleasant.

The room is nothing to write home about in the best of circumstances, however the more frustrating part was the vomit inducing smell coming from the bathroom. It actually feels like someone indeed vomited in the bathroom and then it was covered with some fragrance. When we complained the front desk staff said he'd ask them to use less fragrance in our room, though I'm skeptical this will indeed happen/will matter due to our short stay.

As for the beds, they feel like ones straight out of a hostel. It is popular with large tour groups due to its location, however based on what I heard from some of them they were equally unimpressed.

The basic conclusion is that this is a two star hotel, with a couple of 3 star amenities (pools/bar/restaurant). Its only redeeming quality is the view, which while not of Dubrovnik bay is quite nice. The hotel is in the Gruz area of Dubrovnik.
