“Great place to explore a great town”

House Iva was perfect for our 4 days in Dubrovnik. Situated towards the top of the old town it was lovely and quiet but still so close to walk to everything.
Although its ideal for 2 couples we had a 5th person with us and the extra bedroom worked well - just be aware theres no bathroom on this level.
Its very clean, and well equipped and has a fabulous small terrace which looks over the beautiful town. Yes, lots of stairs to get here from the bottom of town but that just added to the charm. We loved our stay at House Iva and wished we could have stayed longer. There was still so much left to explore in beautiful Dubrovnik.

“Quirky, great location”
Reviewed August 10, 2018 for a stay in August 2018

We spent two nights here in Aug 2018, and really liked the house. Very good location for exploring on foot, quiet, easy to walk to restaurant or small supermarket. House was spotlessly clean and homely, arranged with one room per level. Shower rooms tiny! Good A/C and good communication with owner before arrival

“Great location”

Helpful owner and great location. Very narrow and steep internal stairs so unsuitable for children or those who find stairs tricky. Each room is small, clean and tidy. Recommend if you want easy access to Old Town.

“Charming House in the old town”

We had a lovely short stay here. The house has a bohemian feel but is not too cluttered and is very clean and well equipped. Ivanka was welcoming and gave us all the help and information we needed. The old town is very compact and we found being right under the city walls was great. The view from the top windows is fantastic but being away from the centre meant it was lovely and quiet. There are lots of stairs in the house so not suitable if you have toddlers or mobility issues.

We found Having the owners' restaurant nearby was very handy for key drop off and if you needed any help (we didn't)

“Lovely bijou apartment”
Reviewed August 5, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Great location and very clean - located near top gate so great for arriving as don't need to carry cases down (and up) too many steps.
Very quiet at night and has two separate entrances so ideal for older children who can come and go as required.
Be warned though the apartment is over 4 levels with quite steep steps so probably not ideal if elderly or infirm.
Had great stay and would return.

“Perfect location”
Reviewed June 8, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We are a family of 6 adults who spent a week in House Iva in May and we all loved it.
Considering it is located directly below the city walls yet only 2 minutes from The Stradum it is amazingly peaceful with great 'rooftop views' across the city to the sea.
We had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay and the house felt very homely, lovely cafes within 30 seconds walk which were perfect for breakfasts and we enjoyed the artwork in every room.
Having 2 doors to the house with 3 sets of keys was really useful as it meant we could all come and go as we pleased. Would happily stay here again and walking the steps back every day certainly keeps you fit.
