“Interesting but needs more info on why it all started”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2011

An interesting display that has a reasonable amount of information in relation to the actual war. However I didn't see any background information to the conflict and why it happened, which would have been useful. Also some of the English translations could do with a rewrite as they were difficult to follow.
Despite the critisisms above it is still worth visiting.

“Small museum within confines of ruined fort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2011

Our host, Ante, from S&L Guesthouse, escorted us to the museum (on top of mountain above Dubrovnik), and explained all of the exhibits. There are some moving photos and narratives posted on the walls. This museum truly shows the idiocy of war.

“Riveting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2011

This was well worth the visit. I am interested in history and I found this to be a really gripping experience. Mainly because of how recent it was. I would recommend this for anyone who really wants to get a decent insight into recent Croatian history.

“Frustrating. A good insight, but needs more content.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2011

The films, the handheld video footage of the attack on Mount Srd makes you feel as though you're being attacked. The information doesn't make it clear why the war started.

You're overall impression is incomplete. Worth a visit. It feels real. The old city down below has become a theme park for ripping off tourists from the passing cruise liners.

“Cheap but poorly put together, stay outside and admire the view”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2011

This museum is mostly made of posters combing a mixture of text and pictures regarding the build up to, events during and effects of the homeland war in Dubrovnik. With some cases showing weapons used or relating to the war.

While this topic interested my greatly the text was simply too hard to get into. The level of detail was far too intense for anyone less than a very keen war historian (e.g. regarding the formation of regiments when they were combined together and why). Combined with a shocking quality of English this made the (many many) texts impossible to get into and sadly meant the main points and my interest were lost.

The pictures showing the attacks and their affect on the area were the most moving and interesting part though are viewable elsewhere.

At 10/20 Kuna it is very cheap but I recommend staying outside and simply enjoying the view over Dubronik instead,
