“Amazing Dubrovnik experience”

Our family of four including two teenage girls stayed at this fabulous apartment for a week in August. Amazing views, perfectly modern and well appointment apartment. Walking distance (less than 5 minutes) to the old town and grocery, bakery and bank. The highlight of our vacation were the day trips arranged by Ivana which included visiting an oyster farm, wineries, local restaurants, villages, boat tours of the Elefite islands. We very much enjoyed Ivana and Zoran's hospitality.

A 5 min walk down to the old city (albeit a 20 min climb up over 200 steps - but well worth it), this apartment had the most amazing view of the old city and the port. the hot-tub was a bonus and lovely to sit in, especially in the evening looking down on the beautifully lit city. We would far rather have the steps to climb and be there in 5 mins than a 30 min bus ride to the old city. The agent, Ivana, was there to meet us on arrival and couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The apartment was excellently appointed and spotless and we will definitely be back.

“Perfect!!”

As many have noted, there is only positive to say about this apartment.

Location: It is perfectly located, only 10-15 minutes walk from the old town. Quite some steps to come up the hill but the view when you sit on that deck is all worth it. The views of the old town, Lokrum and the sea are simply spectacular.
We didn't have a car but were able to do everything we wanted to do by either taxi, bus or simply by walking.

Apartment: The apartment itself is perfect for two couples (you could fit 3 couples since there are three bedrooms) with two bathrooms. Well furnished, modern, clean, you have everything you need.

Service: Ivana is simply the best. She'll help you with transfers, excursions, restaurants, etc. She is quick to reply to emails/texts, she is always available to help with what you might need.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone!!

“Beautiful views”

The apartment was out of this world. The views were amazing, we spent hours with binoculars looking at the very fancy yachts and also in the evening old town is lit up beautifully. Kitchen well equipped, bedrooms lovely and the beds so comfy slept better then at home. Bathrooms lovely and modern. Hot tub was nice at night all lit up.
Not suitable for anyone that may struggle to climb steps, not too bad on the way down but going back after an evening out was interesting, taxi to the road above apartment and then steps down was the easiest way. Don't pack a large suitcase as you will have to lug it down the steps. Saying that it is all soon forgotten once in the apartment. Worth getting shopping on way from airport, unfortunately we requested this but were unable to do this as previous occupants did not leave till 11am so we had to dump cases and then wait till 3pm to get in, found a lovely restaurant and had a very long lunch so was not too bad but did have to do a shop and struggle down stairs from top road with it.
Do your research for eating out as there are some gems to be found, others over charge, Taj Mahal which is a Bosnian, Asian fusion which initially I didn't fancy but it was one of the best . Worth a trip over to the Island Lokrum, take a picinic and swim stuff, lovely walks go early. Check out th cruise liner stops for us Thursday was the busiest with 7.5k people getting off to visit. Boat trip £10 each approx. Make sure you walk the walls for the best views do early morning when coolest . Really enjoyed our holiday and would recommend.

“That View!!”

This is a lovely apartment in a wonderful location with a killer terrace view over the old town of Dubrovnik. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, though unless the weather is dreadful (we had a serious thunderstorm one evening) you will be living on the terrace. We used the private hot-tub area, which is accessed from outside the apartment, only once although again, it was to a high standard. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms immaculate and AC in all rooms if you need it, During the booking process Ivana's responses were almost instant and always helpful.

Tips if you decide to book?

1) Listen to Ivana on arrival as she tells you how the hot water is switched on

2) There are 200'ish sometimes uneven steps down the the town. The easiest route is down to the first road, turn right to the cable car station then down modern steps immediately to the right of the cable car station, past Pizzeria Tabasco then left to the old town gate.

3) A taxi from the town to the apartment is around 60Kn - all taxi drivers know where the Biker Cafe is, just turn left immediately after passing it. Don't ask to be taken to the 'top road'.

4) Consult the Croatian Traveller and plan your stay around the Cruise Ship Schedule as there are times when the old town is unbearably busy but it only lasts a few hours and the 'cruisers' generally only use the bars and tut shops as they go back to their ships to eat:-

“Very well-equipped apartment with brilliant views”
Reviewed September 15, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Everything was perfect about Apartment Tara. Ivana arranged a taxi to take us from the airport, which worked very smoothly. She then met us to show here the apartment, which we were allowed to use before the advertised check-in time as it was ready for us. The views across the harbour and old town of Dubrovnik are truly stunning. The apartment itself is extremely nicely furnished / decorated, and equipped with everything we could need (well, apart from oven gloves!). The WiFi worked well, and the hot tub was an added bonus. Yes, there are over 200 steps up to the apartment from the old town, but any pain we felt in climbing the steps soon went when we sat on the balcony looking at the view, and we were well-warned about the steps before we booked.

Paying our deposit proved a bit difficult but only because of issues with my UK bank making an overseas bank transfer. Ivana was very patient and understanding when the transfer didn't work properly.

I really can't fault this property and recommend it wholeheartedly.

We were delighted with Apt Tara, it was beautifully decorated, great location (just be aware of the 100 step climb), but it's definitely worth the stunning view. Hot tub over looking the harbour was the icing on the cake! Ivannah was incredibly helpful, I would recommend this to anyone that wants a real treat!
