“Very good to Excellent”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

The Dubrava Bistro has a wonderful view. We ate dinner there twice, service was nice. We asked for the table with a view and lucked out. The staff provides a 10% coupon after you eat there once to encourage you to come back. The competition is tough since there are so many restaurants in the Old City. I had the spaghetti bolognese the first time and seafood risotto the second. Both were very good.

“Lousy sandwiches but good coffee”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

Sat here for coffee and some sandwiches. Coffee was excellent and service pretty friendly, even though veeeery slow. But after waiting for 30 minutes and getting a "hot sandwhich" with only cold salad, eggs and canned aspargus on top a dry and cold bun would not exactly recommend the place...

“Good for breakfast or a main meal.”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

We first ate here when we wanted breakfast with a view
[ opposite the Cathedral]. The continental brekfast we had was good value for money. We had a main meal here too. The staff were so friendly. I wanted a glass of water and they brought iced tap water and continued to bring us fresh glasses of water throughout the meal.
The food was excellent. My husbands pasta dish was massive and my fish with vegetables relly well cooked and tastey.
We would not hesitate to recommend eating here. It has a good view outside and lovely aircon. inside so along with the lovely staff and modest prices it is a good choice.

“Good spot in Old city”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

We stopped here for a quick bit to eat while touring the old city. I had a calamari appetizer and a soda. Service was a bit slow by American standard but the waiter was pleasant. Also tried the ice cream...it was ok. They did have free wi-fi so we were able to communicate back to the States.

“Great for People Watching”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

The location can't be beat - right on the Stradun by the cathedral. Watching the tour groups go by is an entertainment in itself, especially when the cruise ships are in! Our last moring in Dubrovnik coincided with a visit from a Japanese prince - watching him and his entourage go past just yards away was interesting!

We stopped by three times in all, twice for breakfast. Service is a little slow, especially when the café is full, but you can spend your time people watching. After all, you aren't on vacation to rush around, are you? ;0) One time, a klapa group was performing nearby, and a classical trio on another.

Food was very good; we had a variety of egg dishes. The omelette with prsut is excellent. The white coffee was very good and this was the only place in Croatia I found that served decaf! Prices are a little high, but you are paying for a meal AND a show...!
