This small restaurant has fantastic views of the old town. It is slightly off the beaten track and needs some climbing of steps to get to, which most tourists don't seem to bother with. The roof terrace allows a view over the old town in the shade which is almost unrivalled.

Lady Pi-Pi's is almost at the top of the old town in Dubrovnik, just under the uphill side of the town wall.
We had a wonderful lunch under the grape arbor, looking out over Dubrovnik and the Adriatic. A lot of people were getting turned away; we were lucky to get a table.
The food was very good, service was great, and the atmosphere was a Wow!

Okay I am the tramp in this story.

While staying in Dubrovnik for a week the owner of our apartment and several guidebooks had recommended Lady Pi Pi, but we hadn't yet made the time to search it out. On our third day we finally walked the old walls of Dubrovnik but waited until later in the day when the heat was less intense and the wave of tourists had returned to the cruise ships.

Near the end of our exploration of the walls - tramping about - we looked down and saw a plume of smoke arising from a leafy patio along with some tempting aromas. My wife and I decided to try and find the restaurant after clambering down the staircase by the main gate. While it took us a good thirty minutes to locate to our surprise it was Lady Pi Pi.

It was a good 30 minute wait for our table and we agreed upon a 'community table' but it was worthwhile. We ended up seated with two women from Paris who proved to be delightful and we swapped lots of travel adventures.

But what about the food? We ordered the fish platter which was a very tasty selection of fish, squid, shrimp and much more. Everything was delightful especially the squid and mussels. Staff were friendly and very eager to please. Great atmosphere as well.

They also had a meat platter which looked very tempting. We hoped to return but time ran out.

But I would definitely recommend. Cost was reasonable, not cheap but certainly did not blow our budget.

Perfect for sea bass. The lines are very long all the time. The place only has 48 chairs. It's small, but big on charm. Multiple terraces, our table had a seat of the sea and the old walls. Plavca wine tastes like a nice red zin.

A place with great atmosphere. Under lovely graprevine roof Lady Pi-Pi serves great, fresh preapred dishes. Expecially Croatian cevapcici - grilled meatballs served with paprika sauce and homemade french fries were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful. Obligatory place to visit in Dubrovnik.
