Ate here one evening after being told this place was great from some people at the Divion wine bar. Great food here! Very attentive staff. Would recommend this place to all.

We had the most attentive waiter who explained the menu extensively - we went with his recommendation of the traditional 'grilled beefsteak' and also his recommendation on wine to accompany the dish - which isn't what it sounds like - more like an expensive steak but braised and served with mash and gnocchi. We had read about this traditional dish and tried it here as a change from the many pizza's / fish on offer around Dubrovnik.

We didn't order a starter, but a mezze came before our main. We had had plenty to eat so didn't order a dessert either, however, a complimentary traditional apple pie was served to us, which was delicious and we managed to find a little more room for it after our hearty meal.

We were very happy with our dining experience and recommended to some friends also. Out of our 5 nights of eating out in old town Dubrovnik, it was probably the one of the better dining experiences that we had, with a slightly more 'romantic' atmosphere outside than some we tried.

The location of this restaurant was interesting. That is the only nice thing to say! We were offered a free drink before dinner, it was home-made grappa, strong and bitter enough to take your breath way. The waiter was only concerned about himself, when asked 'and how are you?" his reply was 'not good, but you don't care about that'.
Then the food came, the bread was nice, but the local fish dish was awful! My husband commented it must have come off of a tire, as it tasted like road kill!
Save you money and effort, eat elsewhere!

It was quite late when we got the the restaurant but it was still very busy and we waited on a table to be cleared. The waiter was a little stressed and we were left a while before our drinks order was taken. The food was OK - my Tuna steak was overcooked - but some people may like it that way, personally I prefer mine seared, but this was well done and a little chewy. My partner had the special beefsteak in sauce which came with gnocci and mash - a strange combination! The meal was very expensive considering we dined out every night and I just didn't feel the quality was up to the value.
