Dubrovnik was a great place to stay for four days and the best part of all was retreating to our apartment on the hill at the end of the day and watching night fall on the city and the sea. It was well worth the climb up the hundreds of steps to get there (but if you are not in good shape or have small children, don't even think about staying here.)
The owners were welcoming and very helpful in providing tips for the area and arranged an excursion to Montenegro for us. The flat itself was clean and comfortable and had good AC. We did not do any cooking in the kitchen, but it was handy to have the fridge and kettle. We bought bread and coffee at the market around the corner so we could enjoy breakfast on the terrace.
If I ever get back to Croatia, I will definitely come back here for a longer stay. It truly felt like a home-away-from-home.
