Unfortunately we were only able to stay a couple of nights in the Old Bakery. It was a really lovely apartment with everything you need really. The decor was really individual with the wooden furniture and all the little touches. It was also really clean and easy to cool down (by just opening all the shutters and letting the sea breeze come through, or with the aircon!). The apartment was also really handy- right off the main square at one end of the stradun, and a 2 minute walk to the harbour where you can jump in the sea, or in the other direction a 5 minute walk to a cliff top bar that is built into the side of the city walls. We also loved popping to the market for breakfast stuff and coming back and relaxing. All in all I would recommend staying here and will be back for sure! It's also worth noting that for the cost of the apartment the alternatives were either just a room or apartments outside of the city walls up lots of steps, so this one was a gem.

Spent three nights at Cathedral View in June and loved it! Benedict was terrific answering questions before we arrived; Mario picked us up at the airport and gave us a friendly introduction along the way, then sent us through the gate to meet Dinko who settled us in. The location can't be beat--now that we're reviewing our pictures of Dubrovnik, it is easy to spot "our" windows in numerous shots! The apartment's space is beautiful--loved the shower!--and the windows always offered something interesting to watch in the street. Our 17 year old son loved reading in the window seat and keeping an eye on the action below. We enjoyed having our windows open day and night--enjoying the breeze, listening to the birds that swoop through the city and apparently eat all the bugs--but learned to close the bedroom windows to sleep since the morning brings the garbage collectors downstairs. A slight drawback--but nothing could really spoil our visit!

The Old Bakery served as a great base for us on our holiday to Dubrovnik and would certainly recommend it.

The apartment itself was very well laid out and offered plenty of space for us as a couple. It was clean and tidy and everything was in good working order and comfortably furnished.

It's in a great location in the Old Town - far enough away from all the hustle and bustle to provide you with peace when needed but within easy distance of all the attractions and restaurants/bars.

The hosts, Dinko and Kate, are very pleasant and helpful and the owner, Benedict, made the whole booking process very simple.

The only things to be aware of are the steps up to the apartment itself (on the second floor) and that you can hear the bin men in the morning if you leave the windows open (put the air con or fans on and this won't be a problem!).

Overall, we strongly recommend this apartment and will hopefully stay there again in the future.

The Old Bakery was a fantastic base from which my girlfriend and I enjoyed a holiday in and around Dubrovnik; we stayed for 7 very comfortable nights at the beginning of June. The location is great, heading in one direction from the apartment the cathedral, port and Stradun are all within a minutes' walk. Heading the other way, you can meander along the inside of the city walls and reach the bars that can be found overlooking the sea. The apartment itself was very pleasant, clean, comfortable and tidy. Sitting at the dining table a charming view along the adjacent street is available and from the other window you can even see the cathedral- a great sight as the evening light fades. The kitchenette area was useful for a few home cooked meals and the power shower was also great! I would highly recommend it!

We stayed in this appartment in mid May this year. Our first visit to Croatia. We climbed the stone stairs to the secondfloor, and found ourselves in a very beautiful appartment. It is comfortable, convenient, clean, and has a lovely view over the square and old town of Dubrovnik, very close to the harbour, restaurants and the famous Stradun. We were made to feel thoroughly welcome during our stay, and can highly recommend it . For us, it was a perfect honeymoon appartment!
