“Ideal Location in Dubrovnik”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

We've stayed in quite a few guest houses in Croatia, but this is the cleanest and most stylish so far. The decor is great, the bed is comfortable, and everything is spotless. There is also a tiny kitchen downstairs with a 2-burner stove and fridge. We probably won't cook an entire meal there, but it will be great for coffee and tea in the morning.

The room is only small when compared to American-style hotels - it is a typical size for a European guest house, and there is plenty of room for us and all of our assorted luggage.

Upon our arrival, the proprietress gave us great information about the city and made us feel completely at home. We are just steps from the main square of Dubrovnik's Old City, and all the restaurants, shops, and sights it has to offer.

Just perfect.

Excellent location in the heart of the old town. one cannot ask for more!
very helpful and friendly owner. Very good value for money!! it could be difficult to carry if one has heavy luggage. Room was very small and it can get noisy at night!

We booked Villa Sigurata 24 hours before we arrived in Dubrovnik. For only 30 euros per room on Easter Saturday (when I know Dubrovnik is busy), I was surprised and a little concerned by the availability and low prices.

Our room was one of three within a little town house. The location was fantastic, just off the main street. The house and room was small, but we were only there one night so this was not a problem.

The bathroom facilities were shared, but we were expecting this and there was enough hot water for everyone, which is always a bonus.

This is a great example of paying for what you get and we had no reason to complain about the basic facilities. The bed was comfy, the sheets and room were clean and towels were provided.

My main comment is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything above/below you.

Room Tip: Take some ear plugs.

Perfect location at the old town. Near to the gate and there's no need of stair to reach it. We stayed at the annex and the room was clean. Nikolina was really nice, and arranged for us a transfer for the airport.
The room could be bigger, but probably it isn't easy to find a bigger one at the old town.
One advice: if you're going to rent a car, you should try to pick up it at the city center (maybe at the Hilton Hotel) because the airport is at another location located 30 minutes far from the old town.

Room Tip: Ask for the differences between the main building and the annex. They aren't at the same locatio...

Sigutura s the best hotel in Dubronic ! I stayed in one of the double rooms which was so nice to do, and it was also luxurious with nice finishes such as a modern bathroom. The balcony and sitting area in the room were also nice features that made me want to hang out in the room. The best part of the hotel though is Nikolina , who is Owner the hotel . She was the best host and so friendly to us. She was willing to get us whatever we needed and to make recommendations about old city tours and ensure that we got the best tour guides for the tours. She made it feel like we were staying in his home, as She also took the time to talk with us on the terrace. The terrace at the top of the hotel was very nice as it looked out on Oldcity. Also, the breakfast was great on rooftop- lots of good bread and jams, fruit, eggs, coffee, etc- it was so nice that breakfast was included. I highly recommend Siguruta hotel to anyone going to Dubronic area .

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2012.

Villa Sigurata is slap-bang in the middle of beautiful old town Dubrovnik, right off Straden. We were in the annexe (Number 6) and although the room was small, it had everything that we needed for a short city break with a kitchenette, fridge etc. The owners are lovely (tip: prebook your transfer with them, otherwise you'd never find it!!) and they drive you from the airport, meet you outside the city walls and guide you to your room.

Yes, the walls are thin but at the end of the day if you are coming to Dubrovnik for a couple of days and want to be in the thick of it you could probably do alot worse!!!!!

Room Tip: Don't expect to sleep like a log...........you're in the middle of a city!!!!!!!!!!!!
