We went for lunch and shared a lovely salad for a starter, which the kitchen divided for us, so helpful. A wide range of foods, I had a prawn and truffle pasta, so tasty but I could not finish all the pasta. Very helpful staff.

We ate in Restaurant Dubrovnik on our first night in the city. It set a very, very high mark to beat. The service was excellent. We turned up without a reservation (relatively early, although it was already quite busy) and were found a table without much difficulty. Our waiter was more than happy to help recommend wine to complement our choices and his selection was excellent. The setting is beautiful - an open air square hidden away amongst the old buildings. There are a couple of fans to keep you cool too.

The food is top quality, and portion sizes are good too. Tiny portion sizes is a big reason I often avoid "fine dining" style restaurants so I was very pleased to receive a decent amount of food here! We ordered rabbit terrine and black seafood ravioli to start, both of which were delicious. Those were followed by tuna steak (cooked perfectly medium, fantastic quality and flavours) and sea bass baked in salt. The sea bass came to the table in a large dish, encased in a huge amount of sea salt. The waiter carefully removes the salt and then the skin from the fish and presents it on the plate. It was very nicely done and tasted amazing. Numerous reviews mention the almond cake for dessert; we shared one and were not disappointed there either!

To top it all off, the price is incredibly reasonable. 3 courses for 2 people with wine came to less than 1000kn (about £100). All in all, Restaurant Dubrovnik is a really special place to eat. It's more expensive than many other restaurants nearby but it's good value for the quality. Highly recommended.

After searching trip advisor for the next restaurants we visited here during the day to book a table. The waiter managed to squeeze us in after originally saying they cldnt do our preferred time

Arriving in the night into the rooftop terrace the ambience was excellent. We were shown to our table by damir who was our waiter for the night.

The service and food where world class, you would pay significantly more in a European capital. The steak I ordered was perfect and the sea bass for the wife was one of the best she has tasted.

Even after several drinks, desert and coffees the bill was less than £90.

I would certainly recommend this restaurant as a fine dining experience.

We booked a table for dinner on our first night in Dubrovnik (reservations are essential unless you're prepared to face a long wait). The restaurant is on the firsst floor roof-top of a building up a tiny lane. The food is sublime, the service exceptional. We had octopus salad (divine) and fish carpaccio (ditto) to start with, followed by black ravioli stuffed with lobster (sublime). A bottle of the local Malvazija was excellent, if pricey. All in all, a wonderful dining experience in a wonderful city.

Owner/manger was very good. We were offered a few local wines to taste before ordering a bottle as I had asked for a recommendation. Food was excellent. Service attentive without being too overbearing. Would I come here again - yes, without doubt.
