Dubrovnik is a fantastic place and we found this apartment perfect for what we wanted. A pleasant 20 minute walk into the old town, but a more challenging (longer than 20 minute) return home which includes 115 steps if not taking the longer route along the road. The apartment has everything you need and is very clean. The view is stunning on a sunny day. There is a supermarket just after you leave the old town to stock up on necessities the next day, ( don't wait until you get back to apartment, as its down the hill and back up again). Loads to do, we spent a week in glorious weather and didn't have time to chill out on the beach, as we did walking tour/ game of thrones tour, boat trip to Elaphite islands, sea kayaking, city walls, trip to Cavtat which was lovely and lots of walking. We walked all the way to the harbour and followed coastal path around the headland on the other side of the old town. All worth doing if you are fit enough. Try to find the little bar in the old town that is on the cliffs where people jump into the water, think it's called Buza bar, but great for a drink with a view ( but terrible loo). I would recommend Dubrovnik to anyone.
