Description: Hidden gem in the hearth of Old Town Dubrovnik!Restaurant Marco Polo is hidden in the hearth of the Dubrovnik Old Town, in a traditional courtyard of street called Lučarica. Small family restaurant is placed in a private and calm ambient and it offers oasis of busy streets to taste fish, meat and vegetarian specialties of the house. Here is the place where you can taste both traditional recipes from our grandmothers like mussels and seashells in traditional red or white sauce called ‘’Buzzara’’, traditional Black risotto or some of our modern dishes like Tuna Steak Precious Blue in sesame crust.Sharing our food and culture with people all around the world is inspiration for us. We use ingredients like Adriatic tuna, octopus, homemade anchovies, Croatian cheese, Oysters from Ston, extra virgin olive oil from Island of Korčula and lot of herbs to present you taste of our cuisine and culture.Accompanied with excellent Croatian wine, beer and homemade liquors be sure you will experience our past and future on a plate.

White risotto is awesome! Location and service is excellent! Must visit! Very tasty and not too expensive. I'll definitely come back again

I had great hopes for this restaurant having read the reviews. It's situated in a closed alleyway and like a lot of restaurants here it is overpriced and overcrowded. Our table was so close to the next one that we could not have any kind of private conversation and out of politeness in effect had a nice night talking to the two girls beside us. This was fine but its good to know in advance.
We had a very nice waiter but didn't enjoy the wine he recommended. It was expensive and of poor quality compared to wiwine of a similar price at home. In general we did not enjoy Croatian wine and would have loved to see some good Italian or French options.
We ordered the fish platter for 2 which we had seen in another restaurant. Again it was disappointing. Lots off mussels some sea bass (good) but I d have enjoyed a fillet of tuna as I felt it was a bit too light compared to the one we had seen in revelin.
Overall, a nice waiter but nothing special and pricey

In a quiet little closed alley down from the marketplace at the far end of Dubrovnik there is a perfect place for a non-touristy seafood lunch. A misting fan keeps the temperature tolerable even in summer, while a mix of well-chosen soft rock and jazz plays in the background. Young Dado is a thoughtful waiter who brings you a complimentary small plate of cubes of local cow's cheese in olive oil, thyme, and a bit of red pepper with bread (well worth the $1.50 cover charge). Order a nice cold white or rose wine, with a first course of fresh oysters (about $2 apiece) or a salad with argula, smoked tuna (smoked salmon stye) and two types of anchovies, including the marinated alici. Don't miss the cold cucumber and yogurt soup. Then perhaps the delicious grilled squid or prawns or mixed seafood grill. Wow.

Situated in a courtyard with great ambiance and atmosphere, this restaurant provided great service, excellent food especially the fresh fish dish for your selection. If you don't want people walking past you whilst dining this is the place to visit, as we did, four times in one week.

Very friendly staff accompanied with a delicious meal. Not easiest place to find but well worth looking for it. If you find yourself in Dubrovnik old town you must give this little restorant a go.
