“Great Gnocchi”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

Spaghetteria Toni is one of the many options in Dubrovnik, but we agree with the reviewers here in that you should seek it out! Their menu is very large, service is friendly and they have nice outdoor seating. We had one of their six cheese gnocchis and it was delicious! I wish they placed orders to the US. Would definitely recommend!

“Good Value Pasta”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Nice restaurant with cozy outside tables on a narrow street. We had seafood lasagne and the local speciality of sporki which is slow cooked beef, pasta with cinnamon spiced sauce. Good value

“Microwaved pasta!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We went to this "restaurant" after reading so many glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. As mentioned by another reviewer, down a narrow alleyway, tables very small and close together, and ours was wobbly. No atmosphere to the place either. We both had the supposedly wholewheat fusili with salmon and prawns, but it didn't look or taste wholewheat. The final straw was that the pasta had been heated in a microwave. I have had better tasting Pot Noodles. So either we are very fussy eaters, or others are easily pleased. Also, I asked for a simple of glass of water, but was told we had to buy bottled. One to avoid unless you don't mind sitting cheek to jowl with strangers to eat microwaved food. But waitress was very sweet, even though her English wasn't great.

“Best Lasagna Ever”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We were recommended to go here and get one of their baked dishes. There was 4 of us, 2 got lasagna and 2 of us got a pasta dish. All start with the good, the lasagna was incredible. Both guys thought it was the best they ever had, and us girl had big order regret as we scraped the sides. Can't really explain, other than you must try it. Now for the not so good, the pasta dishes were less than fair. My Carbonara was all cream and bland at that. My firend's gnocchi dish was the same.

So try for the baked dishes, stay away from any dish that says cream in it and you should be good to go!

“avoid unless you just like cheese and pasta”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Our worst meal in Dubrovnik, and we went as it was highly rated by other reviewers. Firstly the setting is not great, one of the smallest alleyways in the old town, and the tables looked very basic. Only 1 other table with diners at the time we went (7.30pm), which didn't inspire us with confidence.
My lasagne was ok but a bit bland and lacking bolognaise and tomatoe, but the cauliflower and broccolli pasta bake which my wife ordered was dreadful. Basically just pasta with cheese, then a bit more cheese on top of that. A bit of cauli with no seasoning, and virtually no broccolli. Very sickly.
In addition, it was the worst house red wine I had on holiday. The house wines had been very drinkable in every other restaurant, but drinkable this was not. Don't go, unless you are really on a tight budget, have no taste buds, and love sickly food.
