went because of the glowing lonely planet review but was very disappointed.
clearly aimed at tourists - off the beaten track yet full of tourists because of the power of a lonely planet recommendation. the ravioli was average supermarket quality (maybe it was from a supermarket, though i've had better from my local tesco!) and the deep fried seafood platter was microwave heated and served on a plate of rotting lettuce. prices were high considering location (right next to a busy residential road and zero atmosphere inside), quality and poor service.
loads more enticing restaurants in lapad....once again lonely planet got it wrong!

I stumbled across this place purely by chance after walking past numerous cafes and shoddy looking restaurants on the main Lapad strip. It is hidden away a bit, but worth finding because the food was outstanding and the overall atmosphere of the place was divine.

All of the food was perfectly fresh, and a certain degree of effort had gone into the preparation and service. This restaurant provided much better value than any restaurant in the old town, and you got free grappa at the end of every meal, unlike the old town, where the service could be erratic during busy periods.

Definitely worth a look, as there is something on the menu for everyone

It's just a little bit off the beaten track in Lapad, we got to it up a flight of steps off the main pedestrian strip. Only a few tables to sit outside but that's where we sat.

Shared an antipasti plate for starters, was one of the best i've ever had and i'm an antipasti fiend!

For mains I got the gnocchi with homemade ragu which was nice and light, always tricky to not get soggy gnocchi that leave you feel bloated at the end. My girlfriend got deep fried calamari, an enormous portion served with a side of homemade aioli. A crying shame we were so stuffed from the starter that we couldn't finish it!

It's a lovely, laidback restaurant with a family run feel.

Best in Lapad in my estimation!

Service with a smile. Really liked this husband and wife team.
Typical Italian restaurant that seemed to run hot and cold. When it was good it was really good but sometimes it was not so good. We both felt a bit squemish after one night but we still visited three times, but I couldn't recommend unreservadly.
Loved the setting.
