As an American, I sometimes like to eat the local food when traveling then find out that I really don't know the language and culture we'll enough to know if I'm getting the best versions of the local food or not. Sometimes you just want something comfortable and familiar. Of course, when in Croatia, the odds of a local restaurant having access to the same ingredient as your local restaurant are slim at best.
Well, this place didn't have the same ingredients either but our hostess worked with us to make something special for us that wasn't even on the regular menu. While the cheese is Gouda instead of the normal white Mexican style cheese, it was fantastic and some of the best nachos I've ever eaten anywhere.
