really good meal of freshly caught fish. However as with all restaurants in the old town it was expensive.

“Simply delightful!”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

A beautiful setting in one of the cooler side streets gave us a chance to step away from the crowds and heat and relax outside this delightful restaurant.

The hardest decision was what to have but we had the benefit of seeing what other visitors were eating and made a very informed guess after the owner had literally 'shown us' the menu. Oysters and mussels to die for which more than made-up for a less than satisfactory mussel experience a few days earlier at a nearby restaurant lauded for its fresh seafood!

For a main course, we both took a chance on the stuffed squid served with swiss chard & potato. Only a chance because we couldn't see what would improve on lightly grilled fresh squid BUT the parcels of baby calamari stuffed with a light cheese and ham sauce were exquisite and soooo tender.

The atmosphere was relaxed but professional and the staff were attentive without being obtrusive. To finish then, the price.... Not perhaps the cheapest in Dubrovnik but a superb meal with drinks for less than 200kn per person - in my world, under £25! Good value by any standard.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll be back!

“OK”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

Went to this restaurant after passing a few times.
Very attentive and friendly staff.
Food was OK without being special.
Shared mussels for starter and as was typical during the week...plenty of shells but very small mussels plus plenty of closed shells!!
I had liver which was nice...Sue had small fried fish which again was OK..a bottle of house wine and the bill was over £35....sat next to another English couple and their bill was nearly £90...large fish and a nice bottle of wine.
You can rack up a hefty bill if you wish.
