A wonderful restaurant with the best food, all home grown and produced and not hugely expensive. Olive Oil to die for! The setting is perfect (as long as it doesn't rain as there is very little covered area!) The staff were so friendly and efficient especially Valentino! Can't praise it highly enough and the staff are so hardworking - they had three weddings in the week we were there and still managed to provide excellent service at lunchtime! Thank you!

We went to this restaurant a week ago and the four of us had different meals, every one was amazing. I had tempura prawns, it was so nice I only wish I could have the recipe! We watched the sunset from the terrace and the views were amazing, no wonder people book it as a wedding venue. If you go to Kolocep you would be a fool not to visit this restaurant.

Was told this place was awesome and it was!

Jumped on a ferry from the main port of Dubrovnik full of excitement and came back on a speed boat totally fulfilled.

Lovely setting, lovely atmosphere and lovely well prepared tasty food. There were some surprises along the way too (I suspect these are ad hock surprises, or maybe not!)

Valentino our waiter was incredible and ensured we were looked after all night and we owe him and the restaurant a massive debt of gratitude as overall this was an incredible experience.

The only negative would be the cheese selection, however, I think I would blame Croatia for this and not the restaurant!

THANKS.

I visited Vila Ruza for a dinner with my husband and my adult daughter during our holiday on the island Kolocep. Creative and delicious food, excellent house wine from Istrian Trapan winery (not from Dalmatia!). The setting is elegant but not too formal. Service was perfect. Expensive but ideal for special occasion or romantic dinner.

We had a wedding here (a week ago today!) and the place is beautiful, It was the wonderful low key relaxed and beautiful setting restaurant that we hoped it would be. All the staff were wonderful and the food was very good- the prawn tempura a must. The views really are lovely and little fishing boats dock up outside. The staff were very attentive and really looked after us.

If you are considering a wedding in Dubrovnik then this is definitely a wonderful venue. We will have wedding memories of that view and the pretty tables. Make sure you arrive before sunset as its lovely to watch. Its nice and shaded too so cooler than the old town. The chill out area is great too, some of our younger guests even took a nap as it got late! The public ferry comes here if you want to go for lunch or you can splash out on their private transfer.

Thank you to all the staff for making our day- we hope our guests liked it as much as we did, it was understated and beautiful- we felt that we just wanted nice food, wine and a lovely view and this place was lovely.

The staff were polite and helpful but in no way intrusive. They have nice cocktails too, on our tasting we tried the mojito, mai tai and cosmopolitan- all yummy. Our tasting was at lunch time and it was nice to see the beautiful turquoise waters, while in the evening the sunset is very very pretty.

I think most people come for lunch and lots of boats just moor up and enjoy- wow that would be nice to try one time if we ever had our own boat!!

tip-Kolocep is a pretty little island with very calm water if you want to go for a swim before lunch

Thank you Villa Ruza

Helen and Pete
