We stayed here for two nights, the rooms are fairly basic but they are clean and comfortable, its quiet and seriously good value for money (€25 per person per night). We arrived very hot and stressed after our flights and bus journeys and walked though the door into the beautiful garden and met Tony who is lovely and a great host who instantly put us at our ease. The location is lovely on the harbour and you can get a bus into the Old Town or walk in if you're feeling particularly active! Its also handy if you are getting a bus up to Split or heading to the airport because its near the bus terminal.

A 35 kuna Atlas bus from the airport goes to the bus station in 30 minutes and from there follow the 10 walk along the harbour (as indicated in your booking instructions) - it is that simple. Bokun is charming with a good location. There are v. frequent buses to Dubrovnik for 10 kunas each way, but if the weather is good the walk to Dubrovnik takes 15 minutes and is stunning - try it. Dubrovnik is small, but the walls are magnificent and take well over an hour to walk - a hard enough walk, but unmissably brilliant. Across the bay from Bokun is the Lapad peninsula. Do explore it. Also on the opposite bank of the bay (about 10 minute walk) is the Bistro Riva with a good tourist menu at 55 kuna. Opposite the bus station is Bistro Gatto - try the prawns local style (9 Euros) and the risotto (5 Euros) - superb. We were there for 3 nights and did not take any island boat trips. This is about the right amount of time for Dubrovnik .
No visit to Bokun would be complete without complimenting the inimitable, multi-lingual and quite engaging host-Tony Bokun. Thanks Tony

We stayed here for 1 night and couldn't fault it. We arrived in Dubrovnik by Bus, and the hotel was about a 5-10 minute walk from the bus station (although if you ring they will ome and pick you up from the station for free). The hotel is found up an alleyway behind a green iron door, where the gardens are fantastic, full of fruit, vegetables and flowers. We were shown to our room, which turned out to be an apartment. It had a seperate bedroom and bathroom, and a large room with table/chairs, sofa, tv, and kitchenette, it was a shame we weren't staying longer! It takes about half an hour to wak to the old town, although buses are avaiable not far from the hotel, but the walk is nice, a little hill, but views of the coastline for some of it. We had a whole day in Dubrovnik before we moved on, and we able to keep our bags at the hotel after checking out, whcih was a great help.
If you don't mind being slightly out of the city centre, this is an ideal place to stay, great value, near to the bus station, and nice rooms.

We stayed at Bokun Guesthouse it is situated very close to the port and we had an early morning ferry to catch. We got picked up at the airport by Toni (which is cheaper than a regaular cab) and he is a great host with a great personality - nothing is too much trouble. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and represents excellent value for money. If you have an early ferry to catch as we did then it is the perfect accommodation, and if you're planning a budget trip to Dubrovnik and don't mind walking or catching the bus to the Old Town everday then it is also ideal as rooms cost about half what you would pay for decent accommodation in the Old Town.

I spent one week with a friend at Bokun Guesthouse and I have only one word to summarize our stay: excellent! This guesthouse is a very nice place: beautiful, harmful, peaceful and friendly; the owners (as well as their greedy black dog ;-) ) are exactly like their house. Simply on request, you can have a delicious and complete breakfast (40kn / breakfast / p.). They are very friendly and helpful (but of course you have to tell them if you need something and not let them guess what you need!).

The old town of Dubrovnik is easily accessible from the guesthouse (with frequent buses or by feet (only 15 min on a very nice and typical road!)). Ferries and other boats (to the main islands) are also easily accessible (no more than 5 min by feet).

I'll keep preciously the details of this guesthouse!

We stayed at Bokun guesthouse for 3 nights (first 2 nights at the start of our Croatia trip and then 1 night before we left) and were enchanted by the charm of this beautiful place and the warm welcome we received from the Bokun family. They made us feel right at home!

Behind a green door in a small allyway lies a magnificent garden with lots of flowers, fruit trees and vegetables. They have everything: grapes, kiwi's, oranges and lemons. We were offered refreshing drinks upon our arrival and the son of the owner, Tony, who speaks 5 languages fluently (croate, english, italian, spanish and german!), entertained us with stories about his hometown Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is a fantastic city but once you're sitting in the shade on that beautiful terrace, you do not even want to leave to go to see the town. It is so relaxing!

We were on our honeymoon and they put flowers everywhere in the room and on our bed which was a very nice touch. The rooms all have airconditioning and are very clean. Breakfast is not included but there are fridges in the hallway so you can put your drinks and food in there and eat outside on the terrace.

At first we stayed in one of the apartments which has a small kitchen, a fridge, a tv (with lots of different international channels) and a sitting area with a dining table and couch. The apartments have their own private terrace. If you're planning on staying longer I would recommand it. It's great value for money as well (45 euros per night)! Tony occasionally makes dinner for his guests (you have to ask him in advance), there is a pizza oven and a big BBQ in the garden.

The guesthouse is very conveniently situated. The old city centre of Dubrovnik is only 10 minutes away by bus and the bus stop is very close to the guesthouse. The bus station and port for the ferries is at a 20 minute walk from the guesthouse which was good because we had to take a very early bus to Split. There is also a fruit, vegetable and fish market near the house in the mornings as well as a mall with a supermarket, bakery and anything else you might need.

Tony was so kind to bring us to the airport at 6 in the morning (for 150 kuna = 21 euros). We had a wonderful time at Bokun guesthouse and definitely recommand it!! We know we will stay there again when we come back to Dubrovnik! :-)

Charming guesthouse. Perfectly located for the bus terminal and really easy to get into the old town too. Hidden gem complete with fabulous hospitality and even a cute kitten! It's set in beautiful grounds which makes it very peaceful and the prefect place to relax and base yourself for exploring Dubrovnik. I'd recomend it to anyone - unless you're looking for a hostel that caters for partying!!
