“Pervanovo Great for families”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Just got back from Dubrovnik and a stay at the Pervanovo. Family of four and could not have been more pleased with the accomodations. It is modern, large and very clean in a nice quiet neighborhood and a short drive or moderate walk to the old town. Service was great. Airline lost our bags and hotel called the airport the next day to check on our bags without us even asking! What great service. All the reviews are good and for good reason. The level of service, cleanliness and location can't be beat. This is by far the best place we have styed at in Dubrovnik and will certainly return.

Stayed at the Pervanovo apartments Sept 3rd -7th 2012 for a 50th birthday celebration. Our first thoughts were 'wow'. My husband wanted to buy the place. Absolutely spotless, all mod cons (in fact more facilities than we needed), wonderfully comfortable bed, very quiet area. Caught the local bus into Dubrovnik every day, wished we could have stayed longer. These apartments were better than most places I've ever stayed in on holiday and I could not believe how stunning Dubrovnik Old City is. Just a few little points, we could have done with a guided tour of the apartment, as we managed to switch off our hot water in the bathroom, but no one had warned us about this (the hot water switch is next to the light switch in the bedroom). However, we had arrived outside the reception opening hours, so I guess this was the reason. Also we got locked into our apartment on the last morning but we managed to get out via the patio doors and this was dealt with immediately. Do not let these points put you off. Someone has put a lot of thought into these apartments and has got it just right.

POSITIVE:
The hotel staff, Ms. Mirija, deserves a very special praise! She is extremely professional and efficient, far above average. Within minutes, she performed all the procedures for check-in, explaining us the operation of the apartment. And, much better, gave us very important tips on how to move around, parking; how to choose delicious restaurants avoiding the cruiser tourists; and how to enjoy the best of Dubrovnik. Staying in Pervanovo, requires a conversation with Ms. Mirija.
It is not a hotel, it is an apartment rent.
The apartment has a very good location, on the Dubrovnik Copacabana beech.
The apartment is modern and very wide, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, washing machine.
The Wi-Fi is good.

NEGATIVE:
It has no lift, but there are apartments on the ground floor.
Because it is an apartment rental, there are no cleaning or breakfast services.
CONCLUSION:
I really enjoyed and intend to stay in this hotel again.

read some 5 star reviews and believe them!
You may pay more than elsewhere but the apartments are worth it.
Try and get Apt 1-1 for a fabulous view of the islands. the sea, the beach and cruise ships gliding silently pass youe window almost!!
I may return to add more but it was our best lodging out of 6 that we experienced.

Room Tip: try for Apt 1-1 for a non obstructed beautiful view!

We recently returned from a 2 week tour of Slovenia and Croatia and this was by far the best place we stayed. Spacious, clean modern apartment with a stunning view of the ocean from our balcony. Best thing for drivers--it comes with it's own private, reserved parking spot. Our hostess was very helpful and gave us a thorough orientation to the apartment and the area. She gave us some excellent recommendations on Old Town restaurants. Easy access to Old Town--bus about 500 m away, takes about 15 min. There are also many places to eat in the Lapad area, a grocery store in walking distance, and a convenience store next door. Only negative would be if you have mobility or balance issues. Stairway to the our 2nd floor apartment was open to the elements, and in the rare event of rain here, could be treacherous. Other than that small issue, it's a great place to stay.

All the reviews are positive & here's yet another. The staff are helpfull but not under your feet, the location is peaceful, handy for the bus, near the beach, more than adequate supermarket with a tiny one almost on site & plenty of places to eat. The standard of the accommodation is excellent with everything you could want, truely home from home & in our case better than at home (TV & sound system).

We just got back from Pevanovo Apartments yesterday and boy do we miss it already. Dubrovnik is a fantastic city with incredible beauty, extremely friendly people and just all-round fantasticness!!
Pervanovo Apartments are located on a peninsula, north of the old town in an area called "Solitudo".On a map, it will show as just north of "Lapad". The exact Google Maps coordinates of our balcony are: 42.661269,18.070112
From the apartments, within a 5min walk, there is a bus stop which is serviced pretty much every 10 - 15mins by the No.6 bus. This bus takes approx. 10mins to get you to Pile Gate, which is the main entry to the old city and the hub from which you can start your daily exploration. The bus costs 15kn per person, each way. Apparently you can buy cheaper tickets in some hotels and kiosks but we always just paid the driver - they give change. You would not walk in to the old town, the bus is necessary. I'm guessing it would take over an hour to walk it and in summer temperatures, it's not advisable. In my opinion, the fact that the apartments are a busride away from town is a plus, because it means peace and quiet, and beatiful scenery.
The apartments themselves are top notch. The reception is open daily from 3pm to 6pm and the girl (her neame escapes me - Mellia perhaps?) that checked us in was very helpful. She gave us a very useful pocket map and marked restaurants, ferry locations, bus stops, cable car station...etc. on it for us. When we arrived, it was pre-3pm and before we could turn around, a lady appeared, knew who we were and brought us to our room, asking only that we check in later on between 3 & 6pm, at our leisure. It was great, hassle-free and saved us the usual time and stress of checking in.
I had read lots of reviews on TA and other sites and saw quite a few photos, but I have to say, the apartment exceeded my every expectation. It was spotlessly clean, very well stocked in terms of toiletries, towels, toilet paper, sheets, pillows...etc. It was very modern and had a great little kitchen which included a 2-ring hob, large fridge/freezer, sink, kettle, microwave and a full stock of cutlery & crockery. There was a living room area too, with a suite of leather furniture, an LCD TV, a home cinema system and was just really well presented. The bathroom had a phenomenal "monsoon" type shower that would wash away the dirtiest of hangovers! Again, it was spotlessly clean. It had the usual toilet, bide, shower, washand-basin and a washing machine should you need to wash some clothes. Finally, the balcony had amazing views of the new bridge to one side and out to sea (looking west for fantastic sunsets) and it received the sun pretty much all day long. It was just fabulous to be able to eat your breakfast out on the balcony every morning and then sup on a glass of vino (or a nice cold Ožujsko beer) in the evenings before heading in to town for dinner.
Right next door to Pervanovo is a small mini-market which stocked more or less everything you might need from water to fruit, beer to wine, cereal to milk and dairy, and lots of snacks and munchies. If you need more, there is a larger shop called "Pemo" market roughly a 10 to 12min walk from the apartments.
The area is very quiet. It's next door to a camping site for tents and mobile homes/caravans. You can walk a full loop around the peninsula by exiting the apartment complex and turning left which tkes you down to the Copacabana beach (nice but no sand, just stones) from here, you can follow the coast all the way around to Lapad beach. The walk is beautiful, takes maybe 20mins at a strolling pace and has many places for food and drink, all with spectacular views. From Lapad beach, you can walk up "the strip" (not the typical Majorca or Tenerife "strip" - just a street lined with restaurants really, but very nice), and you ae within a 10min walk back to the apartments.
I'd like to go on about Dubrovnik some more but this is a review of Pervanovo so I'll sign off here. Maybe I'll write a Dubrovnik review too! Just to say, I would highly recommend them and in terms of helpfulness, the staff would be hard to out-do. Top marks and I absolutely will be staying there again because I definitely want to return to Dubrovnik. Well done Pervanovo.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room called "Libero 1-2" and the view from the balcony was spectacular. It...
