We've booked one apartment for 5 people (2 bedrooms, 1 with double bed, the other with 2 simple beds & 1 auxiliary bed). The price was OK and we were able to book the apartment at the last minute.

Very well located in the center of Split near the old city and the apartment wasn't noisy at all.
Very friendly staff who helped me reprint my boarding pass I had lost. They also booked a taxi for us.

On the other side, the bathroom was not very clean (for example we found long hair on the ground which didn't belong to any of us) and we had the feeling that the cleaning had been skimped on.
Moreover, we didn't feel that the apartment lock was very secure (2 locks among the 3 available were not working...).

Our overall feeling was good but some points should be improved.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for just one night as we were travelling north from Dubrovnik. It's a great location and was perfect for exploring the old town and going for food and cocktails. The room was comfortable with air con and wifi (and a tv so we could watch the olympics!) and a mini bar. They were very busy when we booked so they had to give us a twin room rather than a double but they did tell us that when we booked. The only snag was we thought it was a little bit pricey. We paid 101 euros for 2 people for 1 night without breakfast which, after being in Croatia for a longer time, now seems a bit expensive. But overall a good place to stay.

My husband and i stayed at this hotel for three nights in July. The customer service before we even arrived really made me like this hotel. Great email correspondence in booking, and a week before the trip i got a message asking if i wanted a car pick up from the airport. It was pricier than a regular taxi but after the mayhem of Split Airport's passport queues, i was so happy not to have to search for a taxi, and not to have to look for an ATM. The hotel let us pay for it on our bill.

The location of this hotel is great too. Right in the heart of diocletian's palace and right off the Riva. The rooms can be a bit loud, but the AC is loud enough to drown it out (although it shuts itself off midway through the night). It got a bit stuffy but not uncomfortably so.

Also, if you plan to use Split as a jumping off point for the islands, the hotel is five minutes easy suitcase rolling distance from the catamarans and fifteen minutes to the car ferry. In high season, they sell catamaran tickets only on the day of departure, so it was easy to go down at seven in the morning to buy tickets and then head back later with suitcases in hand.

One thing to note: this hotel is nothing fancy. I can see why some people thought it was a bit overpriced, although i think compared to other hotels inside the palace, it is fairly priced. The rooms are simple, breakfast good but basic, there isnt anyone to help you carry your bags up the stairs, but it is spotlessly clean, the location is superb, the staff are helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. I would stay here again.

we had a great experience here! we asked the staff if they had a double available for one night, a day before. They kindly said that we could have the luxury suite for the price of a normal double on such short notice. we carry a foreign mobile, and they did not mind communicating via textmessage with us. when we arrived at the reception a very friendly young woman showed us the way to the suite, a wonderfull large en suite room, with old walls of the palace partly showing on the tastefully decorated inside of the suite. suite had coffee and teamaking facilities and a little fridge, and indeed a very comfy double bed. best of all, it is on one of the central squares in the palace, but as the windows have double isolation there is absolutely no noise coming in. we did not order breakfast with the room, but cafe NoStress downstairs is recommended for a nice breakfast outside on the square.

The only small minus was that the wifi connection did not work in the suite, in the main building though there was proper reception (and also in most every restaurant, bar in central Split, also the bar below the room).

Recommended!Dont know how the regular rooms are, but the luxury suite was lovely , wanted to stay longer.

Stayed here for just one night in June 2012. Walked in and got a big room at the floor where the reception is. That's probably the only disadvantage I had: it was a bit noisy sometimes with people walking up the stairs to the other floors. But the rest was fine: friendly service, good breakfast, clean rooms, aircon etc. And of course a great central location. All in all a good choice although next time I would stay on one of the upper floors.
