The location and the renovation of the Vestibul Palace hotel are indeed excellent. The rooms are a successful mix of old and modern and are very large in size.
You cannot be more central as a location and there is not too much noise.
We were however disappointed by the level of service for a hotel in this category : very cold service at the reception desk, missing products in the bathroom, no luggage service, ...
And above all they really exagerate with the supplements : they invoice 140 euros per night for the use of a totally uncomfortable sofa-bed in the room for 2 kids !
So globally : poor quality / price ratio.

because I want to be able to stay there when I go back to Split. So at the risk of having it sold out next time, I'll add my voice to all the enthusiasts. It is a splurge, but well worth it -- a lovely luxury boutique hotel.

My wife and I loved our room, dinner at the restaurant, the excellent breakfast, and the wonderful staff -- they'll go way out of the way to help you and make sure that you enjoy your stay.

Branimir, the food and beverage manager, served us a wonderful dinner. The next morning he drove us to the airport detouring (as we had extra time) to show us sights around Split that we had missed.

A very stylish hotel situated right in the very centre of Split. We stayed here for a week during our Croatian holiday in the area.
Great location which should be one of the best of all Split-hotels. We stayed in the annex which is situated 3 minutes walk from the main building, nearer the water but demanding the short walk back to the hotel for breakfast.
Nice breakfast and very professional and casual staff. The airconditiong is also very well used as Split had temperatures of 36-39 Celsius during our stay - very hot...
The pricing is high for Croatian standard but worth it if you are looking for a modern hotel of high class.
Two things I missed; english newspapers and an internet computer in the reception.

Like other comments before, while the location is unique and the rooms are a stylish definition of boutique modern, the Hotel Vetibul's best asset is its staff who were courteous, helpful, and above all friendly. We spent 2 nights in Split during the heat wave and the Hotel was the best part of the visit. This is THE place to stay.

Stayed here for one night and it was perfect. Great location in the middle of the Palace though difficult to park and find, especially with heavy cases. I would suggest parking in the carpark next to the Palace and the seafront, you can't drive in the Palace anyway, before entering the Palace on foot and finding the hotel.

From here, the staff are incredibly helpful and willing to bring your luggage to the hotel and park your car. This is particularly welcome if you have a room upstairs, as most of them are, because there is no lift.

The hotel itself is a great combination of old architecture and modern boutique style decor. The rooms are small, but this is generally the case in this type of hotel.

I would also recommend the hotel's breakfast and dinner 'al fresco' in the courtyard - a lovely experience!
