Hotel Vestibul Palace
Ranked #15 of 56 Hotels in Split
Certificate of Excellence

This handsome annex to Hotel Vestibul rightly deserves its high rating. Ideally situated in the Diocletian Palace, but set off in a tranquil square away from the crowds, it is both charming and peaceful. The bath and rooms are modern and pristine with luxury bath essentials, quality bed linens and flat screen TV(s). The lovely little entry landing connects a breakfast area with an adjacent covered stone terrace, where I had coffee in the morning. The service was exceptional - from the cold beverage I requested upon check-in (that was in my room when this tired and thirsty traveller arrived), to the wonderful desk clerk who took my bags and I to the bus station when it was time to leave. A great two night stay that I cannot recommend enough!

Room Tip: Top floor has a quiet, romantic, bedroom loft that's great for couples. There is an interesting...

We found it a bit difficult to find but once we did it was everything we expected of a luxury hotel. There are only 7 rooms so if you decide to choose the hotel make sure you give yourself plenty of lead time as they are in demand. Rooms are modern and extremely comfortable. Staff were always smiling and helpful. Our stay was towards the end of our 6 week holiday and all I can say is what a way to end it. Absolutely loved it.

Room Tip: Although the staff carried up our luggage there is no lift and so you need to walk up a spiral stair...

My wife, sister-in-law & myself spent 3 nights at the hotel from the 3/10/2012 to 6/10/2012. We have travelled extensively over a number of years & rate the quality & professionalism of the staff the best we have ever experienced. I would single out Branimir & Marianna amongst a wonderful team

Room Tip: As the hotel was right next door to the Vestibule of the Palace, on occasions there were some preten...

The location and overall ranking of this hotel is what made us choose to stay here for our 1-night in Split. I did appreciation it's location right in the heart of the Diocletian's Palace so it was an easy walk everywhere and close to the action, yet tucked away a bit for privacy. We stayed in a double room which was small but with lots of charm and modern upgrades plus very clean. Their breakfast was very expansive and even included eggs of your choice, cooked fresh which was a nice touch we didn't see at any other places we stayed during our 20 day trip through Europe. Our server during breakfast was super friendly too. The only reason I gave them 4 stars (instead of 5) is because the woman that checked us in at the front desk and helped us a couple times while we stayed there was not super-friendly. She made us feel as if we were asking stupid questions given her reaction to some of them. Although she was helpful, she made us nervous to even approach her with any questions. Also, I wish the hotel would provide more photos/information on the Double Room in annex building Villa Dobric - this room was also available when I booked but it was hard to determine which one would be better for us because of the lack of pictures/information.

We stayed in the Villa Dobric which is separate to the main hotel and a short distance away but still within the Palace area so close to everything there. It has 4 rooms which are fairly small but with all the essentials. Breakfast is fairly simple but they provide proper coffee from the local cafe. The strengths of the Villa are the position and the staff. Nothing is too much trouble, from retrieving our car to and from their garage as needed, organizing tickets for the car ferry and making tea on request. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Our 7 nights here were some of the most enjoyable we have ever spent at a small city hotel. The location is perfect, within Diocletian's Palace, and only a few steps from the ferries to the islands. Our room was not large, but had a comfortable bed, a good bathroom, and excellent free wireless internet. The buffet breakfast was excellent and varied, and could be taken outside in the lovely square. We had two dinners, both of which were superb, and there is a good wine list. However, it is the staff who make this hotel really exceptional. Every one of them is professional and well-informed, friendly and caring, and they made us feel completely at home. We were very sorry to leave. Many thanks to you all for a very special holiday.

it's an expensive place to stay but one knows that at booking , the hotel and it's staff therefore have to perform to justify the expense - they do :-)
The location cannot be beaten , the room is lovely and functional , I communicated with the hotel prior to arrival bad requested a kettle in my room - why can't these fancy hotels provide tea and coffee making facilities as a fixture ( Premer inns and Travelodges do !!) it was available so they did as I had asked
Breakfast is super and can be eaten in or on the courtyard which was our preference , the bonus is that you can order wonderful top- class Espresso and Cappucino and not have to put up with the normal horrid hotel coffee , the choice and freshness of the produce was superb and it was great being able to order things like boiled gags , omelette etc .
There are only 7 rooms , our room was so quiet with windows closed but do open them when the Klapa Vestibul singers are singing because the sound transports you to heaven .
Staff were superb , friendly informative and helpful , the location is AS GOOD AS IT GETS .
We enjoyed our stay and Will return
