Great view from half way - split looks awesome! Grab a lovely drink and spend some time looking over one of the most beautiful cities

It's Marjan where Splicanis go to get ready for their day... or unwind after it.
At the end nearest the city (go to the top of Senjska, which comes off of the north end of the Riva, via trg Sperun) is a cafe/bar universally known as the videlica (the viewpoint). Here you can get a superb view over the city while downing a beer or a coffee - especially great as the sun sets and lights up the city with a rosy glow. It's like Uluru, but with buildings!
Further along the peninsula there are miles of paths to walk, jog, run, or cycle (rent from the north side entrance) along, which are especially great if you like plenty of elevation changes!
On the north side there are lots of little coves for swimming, while on the south side there are larger beaches where people go to see and be seen, especially at the end of the day.
At the end of the north side of Marjan is Bene, a small resort with a bar/restaurant and with tennis courts, swimming etc.
For those of us living in the old town, Marjan keeps us sane (ish).

spend the whole day on the hill with beautiful untouched parts of nature, clear sea and lots of sunshine. best to do is to hire a bike and a diving mask-you can do it in Travel49.com office-with discount if you re staying in Diocletian Palace Guesthouse.
