I arrived Split by BlueLine Ferry from Trogir.
Hotel Salvija is right inside the Palace. I had no difficulty in locating it at all (thanks, partly, to the signs posted on the wall and lamp post). The easiest way to reach it is to pass through the main entrace of the Palace and turn left when you see the Square (where you find people performing in the evening).
If you are connecting to other coastal cities or islands (like Korcula in my case), the ferry terminal is only 5 minutes' walk away.
I was upgraded to a 3-bed room because the room I originally booked was not yet ready on my arrival. It is naturally spacious. The A/C functions well, which (I discover after the trip) should not be something taken for granted. The bathroom (inclusive of the towels) is clean and tidy.
The staff (a lady with spectacles, if she is going to see this!) is exceptionally friendly, helpful and approachable. She volunteers with useful information of the city and the transport arrangement. She goes out of her way to make your stay happy and pleasant. She is definitely the best concierge I have met in my whole journey in Croatia.More
