Very interesting cathedral in Split's old town. Recommended. Ticket also gets entry to the nearby Temple.

“Vertigo sufferers beware.”
Reviewed August 21, 2014 via mobile

Firstly I must agree with the other reviews in that the view from the top is fantastic. The walk up however is not so fantastic. I myself had no problems but I'm aware that the metal stairs could be very daunting if you suffer from vertigo as the sides of the bell tower are very open. The stairs at the beginning are very narrow and steep and there is a lot of waiting for people coming up or down. All of this though is completely worth it for the view. For 15HRK it is a bargain too, must do whilst you are in split.

“very steep stairs but the view is worth it.”
Reviewed August 20, 2014

I tried this as it all looked interesting. The cathedral is small but the treasury is quite interesting and the bell tower deceptively high. It is a bit chaotic going up and down the steps as in most parts it is one way traffic. The view from the top is terrific biut the climb down more difficult than the climb up as there are only handrails on one side and with people queuing to ascend you had nothing to hold onto with VERY steep stairs. Worth a visit but not if you are unfit or scared of heights

“Beautiful and 1500 years old”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

The oldest continuous cathedral in the World based on Diocletians mausoleum. Go up the rather scary bell tower stairs for a brilliant view.
