On the way out to Mestrovic's Gallery, you will come across this museum at the major intersection on Ivan Mestrovic Boulevard. I had tried to get into this museum three times (all of which were unsuccessful) because most often the place is closed. It only has a limited opening hour schedule. It also is closes early (I got there once and the staff were closing it 30 minutes before lunch time closing time). Having finally gotten in there, I was disappointed. There is not much to look at as the museum as only has exhibits for the centuries of post Roman, early Christian/Slav invasion. A few stone archways from various churches and a few finds dug up from some grave sites, does not make a museum. Half of the available space of the museum is closed off. The interior of the building deserves more exhibits. However, the building is already showing shows of wear (just after entering, there is dodgy wooden scaffolding holding up part of the ceiling). On my successful visit, there were only two other tourists there on the day.
