The tables are located in a very atmospheric setting in the courtyard adjacent to the Vestibule of the Diocletian Palace (with the Peristyle beyond that). All aspects of the meal were excellent - the service, the wine list with plenty of local wines by the glass, the anchovy and herb butter amuse bouche, the fresh young goat's cheese with pears, the tuna carpaccio and, best of all, the sweetest grilled baby squid. While we were eating a small choir (who were presumably returning home from a concert) sang two pieces in the Vestibule. A memorable evening in Split.
