With a family of eight persons it is not always easy to find a place that suits everyone´s taste with such a quality that myself as a food lover am happy as well. Tinel was such a place for us. Kids found enough to eat with the delicious grilled chicken and French fries. Our more conservative grown-ups valued the delicious but not too strong tastes. Local fresh produce was really delicious, more than enough to keep also a food-lover happy!
The restaurant looked very nice in a traditional way, and the service was really friendly. There was enough space also for a bigger group. The prices were reasonable, compared to Western European standard very much so.
Wine selection was enough to keep us happy. Croatians have been making wines for centuries, so the local wines were surprisingly fine. I found it sensible to go directly to the quality wines (unless you really know what to order of the table wine section...) The staff was also happy to help in selection.
The location was on an area where there were many restaurants nearby, near the waterfront.
It was easy to take a little strolling on the Riva waterfront avenue after the dinner, enjoying the vacation in full!
This was all in all one of the best food experiences we had in Split (we actually didn´t have any bad experiences at all). We were so pleased that our local hostess had recommended this restaurant to us.
