“Probably the best accomodation in Split now”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Radisson Blu is a chain with a pretty high quality standard across Europe. The hotel in Split is not an exception - 4 stars fo sure. Taking into account that other 4 stars hotel do not offer that range of facilities, Radisson Blu is perhaps the best option in Split right now.
We were in standard room and suite, the latter has really great outlook and better quality, so worth the extra price. Spa is really nice, however indoor swimming pool contains too much chlorine, kids skin may be sensitive. Breakfast is diverse and tasty, take extra time to enjoy it. You need 5 mins to get to the sea shore and then about 30 mins on foot to get to the Palace of Diocletian - nice walk in a good weather.
And the last but not least - very helpful service at the reception!

Room Tip: Do not consider economy room, go for standard room and try to get a room closer to the sea - the vie...

A solid 4 star hotel (good room design, good restaurants, good breakfast buffet, good gym, efficient reception staff) and a good ocean view from the correct side of the hotel and from the restaurant. Located on a hill about 3 km south of the city center. The walk to the city is an easy half hour, mostly along the coast. Taxi will cost about 10$ or less. The hill gives the sea view. The shore line is accessible via footpaths down the hill. The neighborhood is not enchanting, rather without character. The beach is now, at off season, a little triste, and used mainly by the intrepid kite surfers, who have ideal wind conditions, plus dog walkers and joggers. Good but not great.

We were quite impressed by this fantastic resort hotel and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The sight from the room was fantastic and the pool and the beach a real pleasure, we did not want to leave after one week of total pampering of both body and soul. And the hotel is only a short walk away from the centre (over a promenade), alternatively great bikes can be rented at the reception. It is certainly not the last time we stayed in this hotel!

Room Tip: upgrade to a suite with a great view

The hotel is pretty new, clean, glass-and-concrete structure. It lacks personality as most chain hotels do. But the rooms are nice-sized, well appointed and very clean. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was OK, but a bit overpriced by Croatian standards. The biggest problem is the location. Hotel is situated in the "new" part of Split, fairly far away from the old city where everything happens. Other than that, I'd recommend it with no problems.

I'm just finishing up my stay, and overall, I think this hotel was a good choice.

Pros
Friendly staff...promptly addressed issues with a smile
Nice views
Lovely outdoor dining
Well prepared dishes
Nice spa
Comfy beds
Fantastic fitness center
Well appointed rooms with plenty of outlets

Cons
The carpet in my room was very dirty...I wore shoes the entire time
The bathroom had a terrible grout/dirt issue..it did not seem clean
Shower needed repair
Weird seahorse decor

All in all, it was a nice stay. Hopefully, they will address the carpet and bathroom issues which would greatly improve my overall impression of the property.

The room is wondeful. I stayed in one with a fantastic view from the ocean.
I would just suggest a door at the shower, because the carpet of the room gets all wet.
Decoration and facilities are very good! Wifi internet works fine. Staff very kind. I strongly recommend it.

Radisson Blu Split is a resort-style hotel, with all the amenities (pool, restaurants, bars, spa), perfect to relax. It was expensive, both for the room and the extras. But then, it was August and we got an excellent level of service.
Breakfast was fantastic, with all the choices you'd expect from a 5* resort. We had dinner in two restaurants, the outdoor and the fine dining, and food was very good on both (though not brilliant).
The reception area/pool/spa all look brand new and stylish. Our room (we were luckily upgraded to a deluxe) was very nicely appointed and had the most beautiful view. The only disappointment was the beach, which was pebbly, quite small and full of tourists.
Location was good, since we had a car (by the way, there is free parking for guests). However, we chose to take a taxi to go to the old city, since it's difficult to find a parking spot there.

Room Tip: Our deluxe room had a wonderful sea view.
