We stayed here for 1 night after 3 nights in Dubrobnik and really wished we'd reversed that around. The Old City of Split is actually a lot more interesting, a lot less busy, and much more "lived in." Sure there are the usual shops, but at night you'll find locals drinking in bars and hanging out down alley ways listening to music. I didn't feel like I was competing with thousands of people like in Dubrovnik. Outside of the Old City is a different story - Split looks like it needs a good clean.
The accommodation here was fantastic. We rented two apartments from them, close by each other and both really different. Both were spacious, modern and very tastefully done. Everything seemed to have been thought of.
The staff were extremely helpful and likable. We all felt at ease straight away.
Can't recommend this place highly enough, and like I said, my advice would be to spend a little less time in Dubrovnik and a little more time in Split.More
