As a New Yorker, I am a bit picky about my pizza. This was great pizza, thin crust and tasty. The toppings were perfect. The house red had a distinctively "home made" taste - more grain alcohol than tannins. Those with Italian grandpas will know what I mean. Overall good place if you are hungry for a pizza and not a lot of hype.

The restaurant claims to be the oldest pizza house in Split.
The pizza was standard and nothing special about it.
The price on the other hand was higher than similar places.
They do not accept credit cards and if you do not have the local currency (Kuna) they will change your EURO at a rip-off rate of 1 to 7. The exchange rate is 1 to 7.5 and applied any where else we have shopped or eaten.

We stumbled across this restaurant whilst wandering splits many back streets and we pleasantly surprised. It claims to be the oldest pizzeria in split and is in a lovely quiet area along with a code of other restaurants. Our pizzas were standard italian style and very nice and didn't scrimp on toppings. We opted for a carafe of red which was a bit rough and probably should have gone for the white. But overall service was good and quick, a lovely chilled spot with the addition of free wifi.

It was ok. We were hungry so it filled the gap.Had better pizza in Zagreb (haven't had anywhere else in Split to compare)

I think it has a bit of rep as a tourist restaurant, even though its supposed to be the oldest pizza place. Its tucked in behind Hotel Slavija and Jupiters Temple which has lots of atmosphere. The waiter was lovely and the pizza was one of the best ever. The table wine was also good. We went twice as we enjoyed it so much.
