We had already been travelling in Croatia for over a week when we stumbled upon this restaurant on the waterfront in Split. This was the only place where we felt we were being taken advantage of as tourists. The bill for 5 of us came to around the 700 kuna mark whereas we had been paying aroung 400 kuna everywhere else, even in other waterfront venues. On checking the bill we found that it had been added up incorrectly and also the waiter had charged us for bread which we hadn't asked for (bread was complimentary in every other restaurant!). There was also a cover charge which we hadn't noticed on the menu but shrugged it off and accepted it. We asked for the menu again so we could check all the items we had as we believed that the fish in particular had been overcharged on the bill. The waiter skirted around the issue, insisting on adding it up again in pencil by asking each of us what we'd eaten and writing down the prices from 'memory'. In the end we were all confused and paid the bill less a hundred or so kuna but we really felt that the waiter was trying to cheat us out of our money. On top of that, the food was really below par and so our experience there left us quite annoyed and disheartened. All in all, there are so many good restaurants in Split that my advice would be to avoid this one!
